2008 Vent Thread (part 6)

I have a bad feeling about tomorrow after what happened today. The Mets won, the Brewers lost, the way the Badgers lost after being up 19-0. I'm being overly negative but I have a feeling the only way for the weekend to end is a Mets win, Brewers, loss, and Packers loss. Someone change my mind quick.

Pretty sure the Mets and Brewers will both lose and one of them then has to win on Monday.

WTMJ is playing the Brewers game, WKTI is playing the Packers game. There is also an extended pre game and post game show. Brewers possible playoff berth trumps the Packers.

Anyway, my vent is all the embarrassing rants about Piniella after today's game. He rested almost his entire starting lineup!

I HATE HATE HATE that Extra Innings won't stick with Brewers Live through the end of the Mets game, good result for the Crew or bad

 

I mean, I know that's the deal, but today of all days I really want to see all the interviews, etc

I know it's a necessary evil during the season, we all have ups and downs during 162, and there will be more over (hopefully) the next several weeks, and people need to vent.........but this thread full of hate and anger (which I'm told leads to this thing called "the dark side") should be washed away with all the crap that comes of 26 years of not making the playoffs.

Watching some highlights of the season on ESPN. Hawk Harrelson is the most annoying man on earth, Ron Santo is a close 2nd. I can't imagine even the fans of those teams don't dislike those guys.

Hall and Weeks combine for an error and Cam takes a bad angle. Defense losing games? Sounds familiar. Cam's play was tough I'll give him that, but it's the playoffs.

Didn't really expect much for this game. I was hoping we could maybe steal it. That said, Weeks and Hall should not see the field again IMO.

It was a game I didn't expect to win I just didn't want to get embarrassed so I guess it was a win that way. Durham should start for this team every game from here on out. He is the kind of guy that needs to be up in front of Braun and Fielder. Hall should never see the plate again in my mind.

They should be buried for the rest of the series. Weeks can pinch run if need be, and Hall can.. do.. something?

 

The LHP's are not even a good matchup for both. And we can't afford to suffer from inconsistent defense in a quick 5 game series.

Fielder and Cameron both swung at Ball 4 in the 9th inning. I am sure that would have changed the inning.

 

The defense in the 3rd inning was atrocious.

 

I know most CF don't even get to that ball but if it is in the glove you have to catch it.

 

However I can't get to upset about this loss so my vent is really only a moderate vent

I am so sick and tired of hearing about Sabathia and the 3 days rest thing. Way overblown.

 

A. Is there really a choice for the brewers?

 

B. Has he really shown any signs that he can not pitch on 3 days rest?

 

The guys a horse and he wants the ball. Give it a rest people. He's a big boy..he can handle it.

well elimate the bad fielding and the crew right in the game great effort by the crews pitchers.

But Bad fielding and poor batting habits doomed this team today.

hopefully they will hit the long ball tomorrow

I had so much hope for this series, but our bad defense reared its ugly head again.

 

Tomorrow is a must win even if you don't believe in must wins. CC has to be our stopper.
