Boy it sure would make me feel a lot better about this week if we could come out and win the first one tonight. Lineup looks ok, but we need pitching and defense to step up.

I have a tough time trying to figure out where we're going to get runs out of that lineup. Especially against Wacha. The bottom 4 is a huge black hole, Reynolds could hit a HR I guess, but Bianchi and Herrera together is just brutal. Not that there are many options, but still.

I will be surprised if that lineup can put up more than 3 runs against Wacha and the bullpen. Gallardo better have a good game tonight; if memory serves me correctly doesn't he usually get lit up by STL?

"Gallardo is 1-11 with a 6.46 ERA in 17 career starts against the Cardinals." :(

Thankfully, the Brewers tend to do well against "good" pitchers and then play horribly against pitchers like Jason Hammel.

_____St. Louis Lineup

1. Matt Carpenter (L) 3B

2. Jon Jay (L) CF

3. Matt Holliday ® LF

4. Matt Adams (L) 1B

5. Yadier Molina ® C

6. Allen Craig ® RF *

7. Jhonny Peralta ® SS *

8. Mark Ellis ® 2B *

9. Michael Wacha ® P **

* These 3 have been struggling all year. Peralta has more HR than singles. (think he's over swinging?) I would pitch around Yadi to get to these guys.

** Pitch count is the key to getting Wacha out by the 6th. In his last start his 1st 9 outs were via K's. He was gassed in the 6th with around 100 pitches... Get to the middle relief and all bets are off.

That's all I got...let's have a good game. ;)

Hmmm...this may turn out to be a battle of black holes! :ohwell

I think you forgot a few asterisks there.

How many of those losses came as a Brewer?

With the way the bats have been going I would be overjoyed with one win in this series... please prove my doubts wrong crew

I did. I was being diplomatic. Except for Yadi and Big City Adams they have all sucked. :(

Looks to me like the game will at least be delayed given the possible tornado threat

Tornado? Humbug! Trust me here....99% of St. Louis tornado warnings are bogus. Even people living in trailers pay no attention to the "alerts"! There's been about 500 of them since we really had one drop down. (on a trailer park)

From what happened yesterday and what reports are saying what could be coming, I wouldn't mess with this storm.

I'm in the Atlanta area it's coming our way tomorrow. My neighborhood already got hit by a tornado a few years ago. Perhaps I should pay my homeowner's insurance tonight.

BTW, I just heard on the CBS evening news that 'internet explorer' has been compromised by hackers and targeting certain sites. They advised using a different browser for the time being.

People - given the choice - still use Internet Explorer?

I'd settle for one of three...split with Cincy and come home healthy. Not asking for much this trip.

Amen....3-4 trip with Braun and Segura out AND facing Wacha, Lynn & Miller (Brewer killers) and Cueto, would be a win for me.

My hope... Tornado hits Busch, nobody hurt, and this series is postponed until Braun and Segura are back.

Really? That's all I've ever used. Can you suggest something better?

Google Chrome, Firefox, just to name a couple (off the top of my head).
