Our lineup tonight. I think this might be our strongest lineup of the season and I hope RR uses Maldonado and Lucroy together more often as long as Maldy is raking! Throw in our best starter so far this season and we have the makings of a good night!

This is a good time to be catching the Braves. They just aren't hitting a lick. Tonight's game should be an easy win. Tomorro I consider a toss-up and a must win for the Brews as the matchups in the last two games favor Atlanta.

But if Lohse is lights out in his game there's a good chance you guys go 3-1. I see that the game is on MLB TV tonight. I'm curious to hear what the pundits have to say about both teams. ;)

Edit: scratch that. Not on MLB. On FSS which I also get.

Well, neither are the Brewers.

I've always considered the Braves announcers to be fairly solid, but they are off to a bad start. During Gomez's AB:

a) one of them talked about his bad week (suspension, back, food poisoning) and said that there was "speculation" that he decided to serve the suspension because he was having back problems, anyway. No, my friend, that's not speculation.

b) When he took his usual hard swing on 3-0, the announcer said that it's that kind of swing that makes opposing players not like him. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttt?

I get that Segura was bunting for it a hit, and it sucks it didn't work out, but would rather him take a few pitches and see if Gomez can steal a base.

11th in the league in runs scored.... I imagine that will go further down in this series. Can we use aluminum bats?

I don't understand Segura bunting on the first pitch. Gomez steals a base, THEN you bunt and Brauns long fly gives you a run. It's dumb decisions like these that take them out of games early. Then the Braves come up and show them how it's done and the game is over before the 2nd inning because this team can't come from behind to save their lives.

Yup. The Braves sure showed the Brewers how it's done with that passed ball and throwing error. Just a master class in advancing runners and getting them home.

Sort of looks like more guessing up there.

This reminds me of the scene in "men in tights" where blinkin is on a lookout tower guessing.

ugh. Not shaping up to be a good game.

It's death by a thousand cuts. Ground balls through the infield, walks, and the big passed ball/throwing error.

Nice to see Wily limit the damage. 53 pitches through 2 innings though.

You mean you have to take some pitches for the other team to make some mistakes once in a while? What a novel concept. Clearly swinging away and bunting away on the first pitch gives us the best opportunity to advanced bases.
