Haha that's perfect... But that will not be the case come September.

Last month I predicted the Brewers would go 16-9 and made a specific prediction that they would sweep the Cardinals July 11-13. Unfortunately they ended up doing the exact opposite of that going 9-16 and getting swept by the Cards on those dates.

For August I will tone it down and just predict they go 14-13 which would probably put them right on the playoff bubble going into the final month.

This. If we can be within 2 games (obviously preferably being up) anything is possible. Love the way they did the schedule this year.

Looking at STL's schedule, I'm fairly certain they could be 9 games better than Milw in August alone. Especially if they get all three head to head. Brewers are what... 8 games under .500 over their last 50? I really think the smoke n mirrors from spring is over and the inferior pitching matchups will do them in.

Last year they went 13 - 14 in August.

The Brewers were 60-49 at the end of July in both 2008 and 2011. In 2008 they went 20-7 in August and in 2011 they went 21-7. Only 27 games this year in August so I'm going with 20-7.

Fair. How about normally play in August every 3 years since 2008

(3) at Saint Louis 2-1 (I like the matchups this week for the Brewers except against Wainwright)

(3) vs SanFrancisco 3-0 (The Giants are slumping right now maybe the Brewers have caught them at the right time)

(3) vs Los Angeles 1-2 (Probably will get swept by the Dodgers in this series but I think the offense wakes up and hits Greinke hard)

(4) at Chicago North 3-1

(3) at Los Angeles 1-2

(2) vs Toronto 0-2

(3) vs Pittsburgh 3-0

(3) at San Diego 2-1

(3) at SanFrancisco 1-2

16-11

Brewers still in first place by 2 games at the end of August. September is going to be scary.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I have the benefit of the 1st St Louis game, and I like the way we match up vs St Louis.

I'm going to go with 20-7....which is...well...optimistic to say the least, but I think we're going to beat some good pitchers and beat the teams we're supposed to.

I think the Bats are going to get going...especially after beating Price and then smoking Waingwright in back to back games.

It's really easy to paint every team in a negative light using a teams worst stretch of games.

Calling it "smoke and mirrors," is just ridiculous as is the suggestion that the Cards will gain 9 games in August alone.

Neither Lackey or Masterson are guys who scare me in the least. Wacha might not be back(and won't until Sept at the earliest).

Call them the Pirates and exchange the players and managers and nobody is THIS scared of the Cards.

I never thought I'd say this, but this might be more over the top than the prediction that we'd have a 10 game lead going into Sept.
