That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I hate these non-televised games. Despite the horrendous team on the field this season it's always nice to have the game on in the background during a workday.

Garza is a different pitcher in day games. He owns a career 3.34 ERA in day games compared to 4.28 at night. This year it's even more pronounced. His day game ERA is 3.98 vs. 6.21 for night games.

MLB app just showed Despaigne throwing an eephus pitch to Lind....was it a change-up / hanging curve at 70 mph, or does he actually have that in the repertoire?

This team continues to be too inconsistent at the plate. Go 8-10 games of not scoring and now an outburst.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Remember when fangraphs proposed Segura for Despaigne + Maurer? Now granted, Segura has been terrible as well but he hasn't been Despaigne terrible.

The more I critique Davis...the better he does...Now I'm in a dilemma..do I keep doing it?

When Davis is in one of his hot streaks, he's as dangerous as any hitter in baseball. They don't last all that long, usually just a few game, and the burn out as fast as they show up, but boy they are fun to watch. You could see it coming on last night with that rope he hit into the gap for a double. He had one mini-burst against the Cubs in May, then had another just before he got hurt. It was just a matter of time with playing everyday that he'd have another.

Sadly that would be a pretty accurate package for Segura if you were looking for MLB pitching.

So I was at the game on Monday, that God awful 13-5 piece of crap. They have won every game since. Fair warning: I have tickets for tomorrow's game.

[sarcasm]Yep, just get rid of Garza. No one will claim him, and if anyone does, just give him away.[/sarcasm]

I've never thought we should give him away, and it's great that he's been decent since he came back from the dl. But he'll need to do that for a lot longer to be worth his salary, and I'd love to get what we can for him sometime in the next year.
