Hopefully you are right, a little R & R may be just what the doctor ordered for this squad

I really don't think it can hurt at this point because the last month or so they have not been playing particularly good and in particular offensively they just do not put the puck in the net consistently enough.

I hope he's got a chance to bring in some more scorers in the off season.

Wisconsin still #9 in the pairwise.  I have a feeling they will fall after the B1G tournament.  They should still make it to the NCAA's, shouldn't they?

Still -- Hastings has helped Bucky become relevant again.

Tournament game and you've got about 10 people from the band here. Wonder what the deal is as to why attendance is so crappy for this and it's not spring break yet

Sigh.  I have not been to any games at the Kohl this year.  I know that in the past, the band has not been as relevant as in years past.  Part of this is due to a decision to use a majority of DJs and piped in music.  The other part, and is probably more the case, is that the Band is under new ownership.  Mike Leckrone was the main decision-maker and the University, for the most part, catered to him.  Corey doesn't have that authority.

I was in the band in the late 80's / early 90's.  It was a different era, but I know that Mike would have made sure that there were enough people at all events.  If people didn't show up, there would be an ass-chewing.

They will make it for sure.  At this point in the year I don't think anyone is going to jump .015 points in the pairwise.  Possibly Michigan if they win at Minnesota and at Michigan St. But even if that happens, I think Wisconsin's pairwise will move up since Michigan will look better too.

Most likely a 3 seed.

Some huge matchups this weekend - CC against Omaha(tied for 11th in the pairwise) and Western Michigan(13) against Saint Cloud State(15), then Providence(14) and Umass(15). Huge matchups for those schools near the bubble.

The Atlantic is going to get 1 auto bid, CCHA 1 auto bid, So you need to be in the top 14 and that's assuming Quinnipiac wins their auto bid and no other upset winners(Ohio St.).

Sounds like Sunday had a good sized band in attendance.

Band on Sunday was pretty sizeable.  I wondered if some of the band traveled to Minnesota for the Womens basketball and/or hockey tournaments?

I saw the WIld pulled their goalie in OT the other day.  I did not realize there was a rule that said they would only score 2 or 0 points if they pulled the goalie.  That was a neat little gem to uncover.

They did end up scoring with the goalie pulled and earned the 2 points.

Was really hoping not to draw Quinnipiac. Balls.

Balls is right. Not an ideal draw. Let’s hope the extended R&R works in their favor and they can make a run

Considering where they were a year ago I'm just happy they are in the playoffs.

The Wisconsin Women's team lost in the NCAA Championship to Ohio State 1-0.  Payback for last year, I guess.  OSU was #1 and Wisconsin was #2 most of the year.  I thought Wisconsin would win after beating OSU in the WCHA championship 6-3.

A very evenly matched contest.  No shame in losing this one.  I didn't come away with the same feeling as I did the Clarkson game years ago.

I think it's safe to say Ohio State has completed its ascension to the top and is the team everyone now is shooting for.  Interesting to see how Mark Johnson responds (or retires).

Shaky start for the men.

Can't fall behind by 2.

Can definitely tell they havent played in like 3 weeks. Might need a power play to get some open ice.

We look overmatched.

Really need another solid recruiting class to add some scoring.

Yea, Quinnipiac is good and just so fundamentally sound.
