Could do a squeeze with Hamilton??

Could do a squeeze with Hamilton??

With two outs though? Meh. Not sure I like their decision, but it sadly almost worked.

[tmwiese55]

If they hadn't sent him they'd only have one out (the P) when Hamilton would have been up.

[PinaMadness]

Well that was interesting.

There's the Scooter we all know.

[pacopete4]

Thank you Scooter. Must still love us.

[PinaMadness]

LOL Scooter!

[tmwiese55]

Thanks Scooter, way to help out your old friends.

[MrTPlush]

I love Gennett!!!

Not sure why one even pitches to Phillips after it gets to a full count.

I disagree with this comment...

Thank you Scooter. Must still love us.

It wouldn't shock me if he yanked that throw on purpose.

I think Phillips hustle earned both those runs. Adding that pressure did enough to get in his head. Love it

[PinaMadness]

I wouldn't mind seeing Davies pulled after five, provided he actually holds this lead.

[MrTPlush]

Better hold the lead because Rockies just put up a 4 spot in the first inning.

[KeithStone53151]

I agree with the quick hook. This offense scores like crazy, can't afford to let them get rolling

Seriously? I just ... can't. Are you actually just trolling this board?

He has been for a couple years now.

[Polish Falcons]

Pinch runner for Vogt might've worked well there.

[jerichoholicninja]

Even when we score runs we still can't score runs.

[MrTPlush]

Cruddy situation with Hader in the middle of that great situation.

[superfly]

Hader FTW

[KeithStone53151]

Hader with the punch out on the change up.... just sayin

[jjgott]

Hader's role as a multiple inning relief pitcher is the future of baseball and I like it. I can understand him going into our rotation as well but I don't see how having a reliever that can come in and dominate for 2-3 innings isn't an asset to exploit all next season.

[LouisEly]

It really is an interesting debate - Hader for 5-6 innings every five games, or 2-3 innings every 3 games.

Prior to this game, Thames had a 1.001 OPS for September, and now has four total bases this game. Yes, it is almost exclusively against RHP, but most of the league is RHP. This notion that the league has figured him out is a bit premature.
