I'll keep it simple. There is no way they gave up what they gave up for Yelich to not do more. So what is the more?

Trade Santana for young controllable arms, move forward with a Braun, Broxton/Phillips, Yelich outfield. Sign a FA pitcher, and compete for the division.

I'm expecting a Santana trade for sure, and Cleveland makes the most sense. I'd expect a significant FA signing soon as well. Assuming Santana goes, Cain might be it, otherwise a significant arm.

Can they afford two FA signings? Maybe Arietta and Cain. Then Santana for Kipnis, Salazar and a lottery ticket.

Honestly, Santana for Salazar or Meija makes so much sense. I'd assume if Salazar is acquired, the FA would be Cain. If someone like Kipnis or Meija is traded for, then Lynn or Arietta.

Trade for Abreu

Sign Walker

Sign Cain

Trade Santana for pitching

Sign Darvish (now that we’ve shown we mean business.)

Sign Arrieta

Trade for Archer

Sign Lynn

Sign Cobb

Miss any?

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Someone give HighHeat his due for "dominos lined up to fall." Question now is do I refresh the Rumors thread or the actual Transactions thread at the top of the page for the next move?? LOL

What a feeling to see US running free agency for once. This is crazy

I would probably sell my soul for a trade like that, but I just don't see it for Tampa. Would also involve probably 2 more of our top 10 prospects. The Cleveland idea sounds more plausible. But at this point, I won't be shocked.
