Betancourt is currently playing in the Mexican League. Contributed last time the Brewers made the playoffs, and there is a need for IF. Wouldn't take much to sign him either.

Last season he played in Milwaukee he had a .595 OPS. That's horrible, but much better than Arcia or Sogard. Plus Betancourt is versatile, having played all positions other than catcher in the past.

Looks like MLB recently banned teams from signing players from the LMB, otherwise this clearly would have been a wise option.

Yuni hit well for us in late 2011..... for all his faults, he had this. Also, it really isn't his fault that no better option was at SS.

In 2017 he had a .270 BA and a .614 OPS. The league average is .287 BA and a .769 OPS.

Advanced metric show he's been unlucky, could easily be at .650 OPS. Plus, he can play SS, CF, even emergency catcher. And he's a gritty veteran.
