Booooo. Nothing to see here. Just hope we gave up equal garbage for the garbage we just acquired.

I see what you're doing, after crowing about how good the Schoop trade was, I thought a "reverse jinx" just may work better too!

Worth a shot. Change of scenery, competing for the postseason, and Derek Johnson all in favor of turning things around. Past few months have been quite ugly though. I'd rather try Gio than see how much gas Peralta has left in the tank or hope Davies returns to form.

Yeah, I revisited the Yelich trade thread recently. A good dozen regular posters hated the move, hated the fact we gave up Brinson, called Yelich "nothing special" among other slights. Hindsight may be 20/20, but that's some quality evaluation, right there.

 

Never mind the Chacin and Miley hatred, it seems the default for a bunch of Brewerfan posters is always to go pretty negative, right off the bat.

 

Gonzales has had better seasons, for sure, but let's see how it plays out, shall we?

Meh, I guess we will see how it goes. The prospects aren’t the biggest loss/risk here. If we stick him in the rotation and he bombs that’s a big fail.

As a reformed dumpster diver, I can attest, you can find some good things, but mostly you wake up the next day and ask yourself "why did I get that!"

Many said the same about Hamels...now what do most think? I'm not thrilled, but it's better than nothing.

 

Plus, I'm okay not getting rid of the future for the likes of Archer and other mediocre starters.

Lara has looked WAY better than last year this season and is still VERY young, and Harrison has struggled, but you can see that he is going to be a good piece at some point.

 

It seems Lara has been in our system forever, but he is still only 21 years old.

 

If we traded both away for Gio Gonzalez, I will be very unhappy.
