I just put a NFC Central grade out in 1st round.

Lions:A

Vikings:B+

Bears: C

Packers: D

That's pretty pessimistic considering the 1st round isn't even 2/3 over yet - I'll give you props for being punctual

Wait was I not in an IGT?

I find it hilarious the Vikings draft a center in round one less than two years removed from hearing nothing but glowing praise for Pat Elflein as being their longterm answer at that position as recently as this past fall up here.

The Vikes' O-line continues to be a mess - this guy might help solve some of their issues, but it doesn't take away from the fact the line has been their bugaboo for quite some time.

I think he could easily move over to guard and be a pretty damn good player there. That was a really good value pick, but they still don't have tackles.

I was hoping the Broncos would pick Lock - that way the Packers aren't tempted to pick him at #30.

I didn't think that was ever going to happen, but I was hoping they'd jump up and take Fant.

Arent the "best" CB and S still out there?

Gary and Savage weren't exactly the names I had been hoping for, but they're Packers now.

I don't mind giving up a pair of 4th rounders to move up...just not sure you had to move up that far.

This has to be Taylor, right?

Meh, this seems like another reach. I've seen this guy compared to Bob Sanders, but a bigger and more athletic guy, but this seems like another reach.

And they likely gave up their 2nd round pick to move up, right?

I would have drafted Wilkins. I don’t hate the pick, but his lack of production scares me. Most of the players I targeted were gone, so I would have preferred to trade down. Hopefully Pettine can light a fire under his read end.

If we’re going on the record, I would have taken Jawaan Taylor.

I thought that’s who they were moving up to take for the record.

Ok, so they drafted two guys that nobody on here guessed. Pretty much par for the course. I like Savage...I like his 4.36 speed and coverage ability, but I feel like they could have just stayed where they were and got the same players.

Seems really a stretch to move up for him -- I guess the club loved him and knew someone else would take him.

But let's be honest - hardly anyone mocked Savage this high - or even in the 1st round. Seems like a reach.

I'm disappointed because I think we had better guys available. I'm good with a safety - but not this high.

I guess the team loved him.

They gave up both 4th round picks. How will we get any more OL without a 4th round pick???

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

That was my assumption. That or they were really doubling down on pass rushers and they wanted Sweat.

Two 4ths for the right to move up and take Savage...meh.
