These vs. LHP lineups are rough. Hiura would have been a good one to have in this series.

Rooting hard for Jesus...but if you can no longer even start him against a lefty, it’s probably time for him to go.

I was just going to say this. Really bad sign for him if he isn't at least the RH bat in a 1B platoon anymore.

Very anxious to see how Jimmy looks today. They are in a bit of an odd position with him now if he struggles as I do not believe he can be optioned anymore.

And hopefully our boys remember the HR protocol against Bumgarner:

1) Place bat on the ground gently

2) Begin a brisk, but consistent trot around the bases

3) Head and eyes directly front at all times. Under no circumstances make eye contact with pitcher

4) Then after rounding 3rd, give a Ric Flair style "Wooo!", beat your chest, take off jersey, tie it around your waist, then while crossing home plate point at pitcher and yell, "That one was for your mom, Madison!"

Between Bumgarner on the mound and Estabrook behind the plate today we have no chance.

Estabrook alone makes this game a lost cause. Bum doesn't really scare me.

It’s not just this series, but the same situation in San Diego where they are likely to face three lefty starters. This would have been a really nice six game stretch to get Hiura at bats versus a bunch of LHP back in his home state. I am going to be somewhat annoyed in 2-3 weeks when they bring Hiura back after having missed out on this west coast trip.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yep. Shaw is almost completely useless on this road trip. Hiura hit 10 days down 2 days ago, so he could have been brought up for the entire trip, then sent back down before the homestand beginning with a 4 game series against a completely righty Reds rotation.

Really disappointed that they decided not to go this route. If they have a sluggish offensive WC trip, they had a guy available who would have been a good fit for it who continues to mash AAA pitching with 3 HR the last 2 games and they simply elected not to use him.

This division is likely to be won by a game or two, so I certainly hope the clear service time manipulation motives end up being worth it to them.

The MLBPA should eliminate the service time from the next CBA, or at least reduce it from six to four years. I can't believe they even agreed to that in the first place.

We sure do ride Grandal… I guess if we plan to only have him around for a season, might as well get the most we can out of him...

We are going to need him down the stretch run though, so I hope we don't completely use him up.

Yeah, watching that clip with Muncy was just ridiculous. He is a giant douchebag.

Muncy didn't even do anything to warrant such behavior from the douche.

Funny to see it now, knowing how much it bothered the douche.

Through the first 3 Giant hitters, Estabrook has had to make 5 ball/strike calls, and has incorrectly called all 5 of then. Not joking.

I truly believe he hates the Brewers. Yesterday didn't help our cause with the 2 reversed calls, even though they were his own damn fault.

He's a power hungry fool.
