Counsell announced Eric Lauer as the starter tomorrow. The Brewers are starting 3 straight LHP against the Pirates this series.

Can somebody beat the Cardinals please. Not that they’re close to us or anything but I just don’t like seeing them rack up a bunch of wins.

 

I mean, the last decent team they played swept them easily. They’re beating up on bottom feeders, not very impressive. It should be noted I agree though and wish they go 0-162 every year

Pirates are starting Dillon Peters. Mediocre career numbers in MLB (to put it generously) and in the minors.

 

Has pitched well in like 11 innings at the Pirates AAA affiliate, though.

I don't like the Cardinals either but I do like that they don't engage in mass selloffs of their roster. Brewers might exceed win total of their 82 team but that team didn't play AAA teams the last couple months.
