Goldschmidt slam coming.

I get feeling pessimistic, but the sheer certainty in your "sky is falling" posts is actually kinda funny.

It's hysterical the amount of chicken little, sky is falling on the board in general and the IGTs in particular. I mean, I get the emotional fragility but the doomsday cheer leading is beyond absurd. You'd think some of these people have never paid any attention to a baseball season.

I had the feeling/hope that yourout was being sarcastic. As he said, it was an attempt at a reverse jinx. I hope that is the case.

6 walks and an error.

Tough to overcome.

Yep, especially when the bats aren't really doing much. Still a few innings to figure things out, but the Cardinals pen is pretty good compared to some others' they've faced lately. Not Giants good, but still solid.

Not a lot of needs on this team, but 1B will be one again in the offseason.

as usual...

What’d Rowdy do now? I see he has a double in 3 at bats.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

You pretty much have it.

I don't like Tyler O'Neil. He looks like the king of the bro's, and has been a thorn in the Brewers' side this year.

When Thames was here the guy would be waiting at the plate for a urine sample after a blast like that.

Rowdy has been fine I think. He's still relatively young, cheap and has some upside. His solid defense at 1B has been a pleasant surprise.

He's not Anthony Rizzo. Those guys are not easy to find.

Chill out dude. We all know nobody knows how to watch a game like you

I'm good. Maybe take your own advice?

Would not be shocked to see St Louis in the wild card game.

It wouldn’t be shocking. They do have a 7 game home stand coming up with 4 against the Dodgers and 3 with the Reds. Those games will have a significant bearing on the playoff races.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Question is, do we go into 2022 with Rowdy as our 1B, or do we go big and sign someone else that we know is our guy?

It's a tough situation really. Rowdy shows us just enough at times to think we are covered at 1B, but is he our answer?

I didn't say Rowdy has had a bad day. I said 1B is still a need. That is all. Rowdy is what he is. He has a -0.6 WAR and 88 OPS+ for the season. He is one of the few areas on this team that could stand to be upgraded, and that is okay. It's good to address areas of the team that could be improved. It's why we aren't trotting Orlando Arcia out there anymore, and I think we can all agree that is a good thing.

I'd say replacing Garcia in right will be the bigger issue.
