Of course they still have to make the playoffs. That's not what I was getting at, though. Was simply stating that this game is the perfect illustration of why the Brewers have a chance. #1 (healthy) starter in baseball for 7 innings, followed by the #1 set up man in baseball, and the #1 closer in baseball...

Great win for the Brewers last night.

I am traveling and was just following the results, not watching, but this post made me chuckle. It’s the irrational euphoria flip side to someone declaring that the Brewers have zero chance of winning the World Series after a tough game or series.

A great 7 inning start by Burnes, a finish by Hader, and someone hitting a 2 run homer is how the Brewers won a GAME in the playoffs last year. It takes a lot more to win 12 or 15 playoff games.

it was a good win in an important series with some tough pitching matchups coming up. But let’s enjoy it and not not turn it into something bigger than it was.
