A win today would give the High-A Timber Rattlers a 4-2 series win at home over South Bend, as RHP Israel Puello (5.57 season ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 9.6 K/9 in 85 2/3 High-A/Low-A innings) starts and tries to put a rough last outing behind him. LF Reidy Mercado has put together a 7-game hitting streak:

Boy, this is not the finish to his 2022 RHP Israel Puello was planning on having given how he began his High-A career. They may need to consider throwing him into a bullpen role or he may end up back in Zebulon.

When others play the Twitter videos, do they pause and try to load after about five seconds?  Seems to always do that for me.

I can't say this is what I experience, no.

A heck of a double play by Garcia and Acosta ended a very dangerous bases loaded situation in the seventh inning. Floyd really hung this breaking ball and got quite lucky here:

AAA Nashville needs a win at home over Gwinnett to take the series 4-2 and has starting RHP Marcus Walden aiming to build on his last 3 outings (combined 6 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 7 Ks). CF Garrett Mitchell is having a good mini-run (reached base last 8 games: .375 AVG, .974 OPS, 6 SB vs. 0 CS during this stretch):

LHP Nick Bennett (4.89 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 8.7 K/9 in 95 2/3 AA innings) looks to avenge his Tuesday loss to Rocket City, as a win would give AA Biloxi a 3-3 series tie for the week. 1B Thomas Dillard homered yesterday and is having a solid month (.931 OPS in 45 August plate appearances):

Is it time to get the Zach Brown band back together? Seems like he's stringing together some pretty dominants outings, one after another.

I remember in...what, 2018-2019, it appeared like he may be the next to follow Burnes/Woodruff/Peralta to the big leagues(not that anyone confused their stuff with his). Then a disastrous 2019, a 2020 lost to Covid, an uneven 2021...and now 2022 and it looks like he's looking pretty good.

I also came across this little scouting report with regard to Harris. I wonder if HE may find his way to Milwaukee?

Quote

When I watch Hobie Harris, I recall a few similar recent and previous arms. I visually compare Harris to RHP James Shields, former Tampa Bay Ray.  Very similar delivery and intensity.  Harris on the other hand possesses polished mechanics.  Harris uses his full body symmetrically with a connected system of movement.  Harris stays semi-square from the shoulders towards his catcher, with his weight on his back leg and unloading on delivery, with full rotation from the upside, and delivering over the top.  He repeats his mechanics consistently.  The ball flies out of his hand, averaging 97-99mph on his fastball, seeing a top-off at 100, with bite.  He has a reliable changeup and slider behind the fastball. Harris possesses’ a repertoire and demeanor to fit as a future set-up man or closer.  His intensity is comparable to Mike Timlin or Jonathan Papelbon.

It was from a Jays site last year, but 1.96 ERA. The 5.66 BB/9 is...well, not good, but he doesn't give up many hits. Maybe middle reliever, multi-inning type guy?
