To your point where does the improvement come for this “average” team? We all know they’re not going to sign a 20 million dollar a year free agent. 
 

They can’t break up the big three in a trade and not have their rotation take a huge step back.

Unfortunately, they probably just run it back next year with mostly the same players and hope for better luck.

That was ugly.  Can’t stand when players are continually hacking for the fence down by 5 runs with nobody on. That solo HR is going to do absolutely nothing.

We've been out of contention for weeks now.  I have come to terms with that and will continue to watch because there isn't much better on the tube these days anyway.

What's to figure out?  When the team is playing like garbage all these weeks after such a promising start to the season there isn't a lot more to say every day.

Late start. Brewers fall behind in first inning and never even mount a scoring threat, People tune out and go to bed.

Not hard to figure out why there isn’t much activity on the game thread. 

What’s your suggestion to the mods?

If the Padres didn't have the dodgers coming up the playoff race would be as good as over by Tuesday.
