These Mets uniforms are one of my favorites in MLB.

Is anyone old enough to know why the Mets use orange and blue as their colors?

Chosen as a tribute to New York’s former teams, the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants.

I don’t recall ever seeing that happen before, in 43 years of watching baseball.

I don't know but whatever it is if they don't fix it before his next start they're pretty much screwed.

Do you honestly feel like the Padres and Phillies are sweating the brewers at all?

They aren’t worried about them

Burnes has been crap for 2 months. Given up 23 homers this year already vs 7 all of last year.

He's too much in the middle of the plate.

Since the all start break you could pretty much mix and match all our pitchers other than woodruff.   Just a bunch of blah blah blah garbage

Correct.

Not just a tribute, they were hoping to attract the fans of the Dodgers and Giants who were left without an NL team when those teams fled to California.

Despite being terrible until the Amazin’ Mets of 1969 won the World Series, the Mets were more popular in NYC than the Yankees.

There was a joke about the Mets in the early 60’s when they beat the Cubs 19-0. A guy runs up excitedly to a friend and says “Did you hear the Mets scored 19 runs”. The friend replies “Amazing. Did they win?”

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Brewers could have really used Vogelbach this year as a dh. Makes you wonder why he wasn't asked back. Stearns off season was pretty horrible minus having Renfroe fall into his lap.

A DH that can hit righties…. Hiura is better than Goldshmidt at that!  And he sits all the time! Gotta play that McCutchen and his sub 700 OPS.

Good thing there wasn't the internet back then because that "friend" would have been hounded to death for his pessimism.

Sure the pitching has had tons of issues, but the thing that just keeps holding this team back is the offense can't seem to find a groove where they can go a week or 10 days and just smack the crap out of the ball.  After a very impressive weekend against the Yankees they can't seem to extend that past 3 games and we have this.

The McCutchen thing is crazy. The only explanation is that the Brewers had to guarantee that he was going to play this much to get him to come. Why I don't know since he was sitting at home when they got him. Nothing else make sense on a baseball level. Good thing we had the gm on and we asked him nothing related to the mystery of the personnel problems this year.
