Maybe Stearns gets fired after all. They had been in 1st place for most of the year at the deadline and the deals imploded the team

The at bat ended the same way that it would have with Hiura in there.  Hiura was lucky he got hit by a pitch because that last PA was looking like a strike out for Hiura.

Not saying every game, but the circumstances called for it.  One run game late in late September.  The first walk wasn’t a 3-2 count where he just missed the corner.  By pitch 2 of batter 2 it was clear he had no control.  Bush was going to have to throw tonight anyways at some point, he should have been up earlier and in earlier.

Rogers was their fifth pitcher of the game in the 7th inning.  With these bullpen games, you can't be pulling pitchers every time someone gets in trouble of you'll run out of pitchers real quick.

If this wasn't a bullpen game and a starter had gone at least five innings, then I'd agree with you.

It’s very hard to watch their games any more, except at a bar drunk. I just looked on my IPAD and it looked like Rodgers walked 3 then gave up a grand slam. Is that really what happened? If so, I agree with other posts. Fire Sterns, first place team up to trade deadline and look where we are now? What a disaster! But in reality, this team has no consistent offense. What are they plus 21, run differential. That’s a joke!
