Well that'll do it.  In the past coming close to a postseason spot could still be a good year, not with today's ridiculously expanded postseason though.  Very disappointing season.

There is honestly nothing enjoyable about the GM making a team worse in July after a lame off-season.

Swing and a Miss: the 2022 Milwaukee Brewers Story.

Just pitiful to watch some of the at bats today, needing just a sacrifice fly to win a game—not even a hit! Almost glad the season is over after watching a team underachieve compared to expectations going into the season.

I hope this ongoing non-productive lineup looks considerably different next season

id be delighted if we do a major roster turnover with trades, minor league promotions, a few free agent signings

Anything but running it back

This has been a severely disappointing season overall

I’m not in favor of replacing Counsell - he deserves another chance with a new  & improved team

Does Stearns do a press conference at the end of the year.   I think that will be an interesting one if the journalists do their job

Sophia would just ask him what his favorite food was...

Baseball, especially hitting, is really hard. But that's what these guys are paid a lot to do. There's amazing pressure. Their job is to handle it.  They haven't handled it.  Too little too late. Alas.

Maybe. But CC has to be accountable.

He’s just not even good.   I don’t care about mvp.

He was an average player this season. The league average BA was around .250 and that's where he was most of the time.

Give us some hitting coaches with PROVEN success. That's how you know you're hiring people who know what they are doing.

There's not one player I would miss if they were traded/released this offseason.  Not one.

You could bring Ted Williams back to life and make him a hitting coach on any MLB team and he wouldn’t get anyone to change how they approach hitting.

Hitting coaches are just scapegoats for a team hitting poorly nothing more nothing less.

This series was the Brewers' season in microcosm:  a constant, repeated failure to do basic "baseball stuff" to score more runs than teams they should have beaten... in June, July, August, & September.

It's hard not to blame "Mr. Monotone" Counsell for this utterly uninspired season, especially when there was still hope in September.  It was disappointing from top to bottom and everywhere in between. All of our hopes proved to be false hopes. Good night.

I really like Garrett Mitchell and Hunter Renfroe.

The rest of the guys are average at best ... some have power, but all hit below average for their respective positions.

I would really like to see the Brewers acquire/develop players with speed and contact ability at the plate -- similar to what I see a bit in Garrett Mitchell so far.  Move the fences back (I don't know if it's possible) and play some pepper ball!

you might want to remove the last 3 letters from your BF name.

I guess it falls to Counsell, because you can't just release 20 of the players, but this is on the players.
