Within this podcast, Manager Joe Ayrault tells us that LH reliever Luis Amaya was told after Sunday's game that he's heading to join the Shuckers.

The 24-year-old longtime Giants farmhand (White Sox in 2022) has pitched at the AA level previously, for all of 2021 in the Eastern League, as his linked B-Ref page will show you.

Pastran was a $300,000 signing in the 2019 draft class of $1.3 million Luis Medina, plus Hedbert Perez (Venezuela, $700,000), Jheremy Vargas (Venezuela, $650,000), Alexander Perez (Venezuela, $600,000) and $500,000 Alberto Ciprian (traded to AZ and since released),  

It is not shaping up as a good class.

Was Quero 2019? He might save that class. Overall though a rough year between the 2019 draft and IFA class.

Alberis Ferrer, former infielder that had a big 2021 in the Arizona Complex League but struggled last year in his first taste of full-season ball, has converted to the mound and should make his pitching debut in the near future.

RHP JUSTIN JARVIS PROMOTED TO TRIPLE-A NASHVILLE, RHP MAX LAZAR PROMOTED FROM HIGH-A WISCONSIN

BILOXI, MS – The Biloxi Shuckers and Milwaukee Brewers have announced that RHP Justin Jarvis had been promoted to Triple-A Nashville, and RHP Max Lazar has been added to the active roster from High-A Wisconsin.

Over 14 starts in 2023, Jarvis currently ranks second in the Southern League with 92 strikeouts and is tied for second with six wins. He also ranks fourth with a 3.33 ERA. In 18 Double-A starts, Jarvis owns a 3.20 ERA.

Lazar joins the Shuckers after 16 relief appearances with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He tallied 43 strikeouts in 43.1 innings with Wisconsin, including a 2.91 ERA.

The Shuckers active roster stands at 28 players.
