Is there an obvious reason the Fri 7/25 game is a 3:00 start? From an attendance standpoint, that seems rough for a workday.

AI solved it:

The July 25, 2025, game between the Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field in Milwaukee, starting at 3:10 PM local time, is scheduled as a day game to coincide with a special event: "American Family Field's 25th Season Celebration." This promotional event likely influenced the decision to set the game time earlier than a typical Friday night game, which is often scheduled for the evening to accommodate fans' work schedules. Day games on Fridays are less common but can be chosen for such celebrations to enhance the festive atmosphere, possibly including pre-game or post-game activities better suited to daytime hours. Additionally, the Brewers' schedule shows a pattern of occasional afternoon games for promotional events, as seen with other games like the July 12, 2025, game against the Washington Nationals at 3:10 PM for a "1990s Jersey" promotion. While no specific logistical reason (e.g., travel or broadcast conflicts) is explicitly mentioned in available sources, the celebration event is the most likely explanation for the unusual start time.

Interesting.  I wonder if/how ticket sales are being affected.  Seems kindof bold to expect working adults to get to the ballpark by ~2:30 on a Friday, or earlier to partake in any pregame experiences or tailgating.  Diehards / big fans might be fine with working around the logistics, but typical groups and families are made up of a range of fandom with varying appeal for prioritizing the inconvenience.

They're celebrating 25 seasons of the current ballpark, bringing in alumni and having a home run derby after: https://www.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/promotions/25-seasons

(Though it's still a stretch for day-job people, including those from outside southeast Wisconsin)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Stop is green and the go buttons are red?  I’d switch those colors immediately to match the rest of civilization.

I think you might be missing the joke...

I'm not sure where to post this, so this seems like a good place.

If anybody has the ear of somebody with the Brewers, can you please, PLEASE ask them to show the exit velo for more than 1.2 seconds after it is hit off the bat?  Was at the game tonight and my frustration was rekindled.

Sure, I am probably a bit of a nerd when it comes to that, but they show it on the big board and right away show the scoring, or replace it with something else.  Sure, they put it on the ribbon board at the ends in the nice neon font, but then have to show the box score right away.  I would rather watch Frelick's ball go out of the park, or hope that Ortiz's rocket was actually fair instead of look at the scoreboard right away.

I remember being at Arizona and they had a lot of different metrics -- maybe too much for me, but I could see the exit velocity if I wanted to.

Oh... then perhaps they could get the exit velo to appear somewhere on the bottom ribbon on the FanDuel broadcast.

Sigh... it is probably must me ☹️
