Wow. So young yet, too. Hope he even approaches the billing!

Hope he can live up to the hype and be an elite player for us. Not too long ago I looked up the Top 10 prospects from past years to see how they eventually faired. I was surprised how many actually ended up to live up to the hype. There was a still a huge chunk of them them that kind of disappointed (good, but far from expectation) and a few total busts. History says he is almost assured to be an MLB starter...just how good will he be though?

position players rated this highly have a much lower probability of busting primarily due to lower injury risk than pitchers (blow out an arm at the wrong spot or frequently and it doesn't really matter what your prospect pedigree is as a pitcher if you can't stay on the mound).

The fact he's not considered the top overall prospect as a 19-yr old kid is just insane - exciting times, to be sure!

I believe I read somewhere like Sheets at 3? But never a 1 or 2. Vaughn may have also been 3. There were two names. Arcia got as high as 6. Which he's out to a good start this season gw hit the other night. He looks thicker which I think was where projections thought he'd quickly fill out and produce earlier. So now maybe he's about to be a good 3WAR+ player for the Braves.
