I always love when three games are underway while taking my daughter to Montessori.🙃

Hopefully, we get some victories today. Let's get it, men!

What's more, I'm going to miss those zesty RHP Jacob Misiorowski innings:

(Surely, Quinton Low isn't taking a random start behind the dish ?! He is listed as a C in the Box as well. I'll have to confirm when I return)

Can't get video, but Misiorowski with three straight strikeouts, two called, going three up three down in the first inning. 15 pitches, 10 strikes, and the balls were nipping the edges for most part too. A nice inning

AA Biloxi also starts early today, needing a victory to end its 3-game skid and even up its series in Rocket City 1-1. RHP Tobias Myers (3.48 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 13.9 K/9 in 10.1 IP) makes his 3rd start of the young season. Can 3B Tyler Black (.280 AVG, 1.135 OPS in 33 PAs) homer for the 3rd consecutive game?

Misiorowski into his second inning, gives up a hit off a middle-away pitch in a 2-2 count, before forcing a double play off a meatball pitch. Slightly further away from the edges so far this inning

Misiorowski replaced after 25 pitches (evidently being built up at the moment) but threw a ton of strikes and let his stuff do the talking

Guerrero induces a first pitch groundout to end the second inning

The AAA Sounds have unthinkably lost 4 straight contests, so also need a win today to tie their series in Jacksonville 1-1. 23-year old LHP Robert Gasser (1.93 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 9.6 K/9 in 9.1 IP) gets his 3rd start of 2023. CF Monte Harrison makes his season debut and the promotion-to-MLB suspense builds with both Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins absent from the lineup.

Top of the third, Guillarte takes three close pitches around the edge before knocking a ground ball through the right side of the infield for a leadoff single. Barrios follows by lining a single to left, the hitters showing good eyes at the plate so far in this game, though in Tayden Hall's AB the ump has called a middle-middle pitch a ball. He takes advantage and walks to load the bases for Luke Adams....

Actually, Sal Frelick is out with a thumb issue, per @JeffHemPBP.

RHP Edwin Jimenez has been extremely sharp here in early 2023. This is exactly what we wanted to see for a very enticing but previously inconsistent arm. I've said it again and again, but he is the closest we have to a young Mike Fiers in the system.

I really love his stuff when he's hitting the zone as he has in each outing to date. Very curious if he'll finish this one or who they are thinking for the 9th.

Gasser again solid through 3 IP. This is where his stuff started to miss the zone his last outing. He had a nice end result but he really labored to get thru 5 IP. Let's hope he can really keep it going today!

I see Keston launched his 7th long ball. I tell you: Triple-A Killer. And, Toro stays red hot extending his hit streak and sending two across the plate.

Adams fell behind 0-2, then ripped a meatball to third base, double play with outs at 1st and 3rd base, Guillarte scores with Hall at 2nd

Quinton Low strikes out to end the inning

How are you watching this? I haven't been able to find any of Carolina's games this week on MiLB.tv?

Absolutely! Can't follow so much at the moment but wanted to see how misiorowski performed, didn't look too wild, be very interesting when they've built him up to 60-80 pitches

We are witnessing several pitchers at Carolina meriting watchful eyes. A very pleasant surprise to the early 2023 season at Low-A Carolina. I came for the infield in the beginning. Roght now, it's all about the arms - and we have yet to seema Logan Henderson on the hill. He and Maldonado are truly enjoyable to watch.

That's a good awful blown strike 3 call on Robert gasser with two in scoring position and one out. Just awful

He completely missed his spot. Was supposed to be inside and he put it outside so the frame wasn't good.
