Burnes keeps pitching like this, he will be begging US for an extension.

This is disheartening, we need this guy to be our ace, he's pitching like a #4-5.

If his injury is not a factor, then this is pretty pathetic.

Looks that way. Let's add that had Wiemer been in RF does Verdugo even tag and score?  Does Wiemer make the error Perkins did to even get Verdugo on 3rd?

Aside from the Turner hit, the pitches that are resulting in hits are splitting the bottom of strike zone or outside it.

It happens. Every year, there's some aces who start the season slow. Corbin isn't that far off, as exemplified by his D-backs start and the last few innings of today's start. Would like to see his velocity on the cutter get back up a tick or two, though.

Fans at the park disappointed me. Visiting teams throws to first, you boo! Automatic! It’s how it’s done.

I’m really loving this whole “string together multiple hits” thing that the Brewers are trying this year.

Now you cheer because they’re wasting one of their throws.

Come on, CY. Need it.

EV today of 101.6, 109.6, and 109.6.

Bout time a hard hit grounder found a hole. If only he had 10 more degrees of loft vs 1 to -12.

That inning is great to see from Peguero. Honestly forgot he had even been called up to the 26 man roster. Could be one of the solutions in the bullpen, alongside Uribe. He has the stuff...

Not much was Burnes' fault there...Didn't give up any hard contact and had an error and a bunt-swing single..

The lack of command is his fault.

Was in response to the first inning when you made that comment. Nothing there was his fault aside from the doink single to Turner.

The Pirates announcers, who are in a tight contest with the Mariners announcers for the most shameless homers in MLB, are going orgasmic over the Bucs’ start to the season.

His command was off in the first inning too.

I suppose in a non-outcome sense. But, outcome-wise, he was fine and should have had a scoreless inning (didn't walk anyone). Second inning is where he really ran into command problems. Was great after that, though.
