bullpen game schmullpen game says Julio

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Missed strike 3...

Plate ump has missed some pretty bad pitches both ways.

I'm guessing his grade isn't going to be too hot.

On which pitch?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I love how BA and Rock are legitimately surprised every game when the strike zone is expanded. It's only been going on for five years, guys.

The Brewers offense has really returned to the “home run or nothing” mode.

In the nine games starting with the Cardinals series last week they have scored 26 runs, which is already pretty weak. By my count 18 of those 26 runs have come home on 15 home runs.

It’s pretty amazing that they have been able to win 4 games with that kind of production.

And the strikeouts are piling up.

Any drop off with the pitching and they won't be winning many games. This is just not a good lineup.

Those things tend to correlate.

Seriously CC?  Taylor there?

Not many good options.
