So Caratini is now a backup catcher who can’t hit ( normal) and can’t throw?

If he wasn't Burnes "personal catcher" he'd probably be headed towards a DFA at some point this season. His framing has been really poor and he has the worst pop time in the MLB.

Rowdy should've been at first anyway, he should not be sitting against lefties

Tellez has not done much over the last month or so, even with sitting against a lot of the lefties.

Only a gift strike on the 3-0 pitch saved Burnes from another leadoff walk.

After he missed two strikes at the bottom of the zone...

Those 2:pitches were not clearly strikes. The 3-0 pitch was clearly a ball.

I’m ready to trade Burnes

Hopefully, he still has enough value to bring back a few top prospects

He was great in 2021

He was okay last year

He’s been mediocre this year

Okay result from Corbin all things considered. 4 walks is not great obviously, but the umpiring tonight certainly didn't help. India's HR was just a good piece of hitting and then the other run scored without a single hit.

Still, need more consistency with location/command from him. Leadoff walks and throwaway pitches are killers. What's preventing him from being his ace self right now...

I think you need to readjust your glasses. They were strikes that hit the bottom of the zone.

Another vintage condescending comment.

I remember the last time you chided me about what you thought was a clear strike the Ump scorecard the next day didn’t show it as a missed call.

On these the game tracker on the MLB site showed the ball barely touching the line of the strike zone, but the 3-0 pitch was significantly wide of it.

He was more than okay last year...I don't think I'd trade him at this point unless a team blows you away. Bet on a rebound 2nd half and then trade him in the offseason.

You get more back with an in-season trade.

A strike is a strike. He missed all three pitches.

You said essentially the same thing the last time you were wrong.

You seem to assume that the strike zone box on TV is precisely accurate and, especially high and low, it might not be.

Yeah same can be said for a lot of guys in the lineup, still has the best offensive numbers of any qualifier on the team, play him everyday.

I wish more than anything, instead of trying to replace umpires, just get rid of the stupid strikezone box on the TV.  That would end so much of the stupid fan whining about pitches that might miss the zone by an inch.

The problem is that those numbers haven’t been that great even with the platooning. Given his career production against LHP it would likely be even worse if he faced them regularly.
