You said essentially the same thing the last time you were wrong.

You seem to assume that the strike zone box on TV is precisely accurate and, especially high and low, it might not be.

Or they could be...Gameday and the strike zone TV box both showed them as strikes. He's missed plenty of pitches tonight. He also missed this dandy earlier, which led directly to one of Burnes' walks. "Clear enough of a strike"?

I wish more than anything, instead of trying to replace umpires, just get rid of the stupid strikezone box on the TV.  That would end so much of the stupid fan whining about pitches that might miss the zone by an inch.

I would like to see robo umps if only to remove potential favoritism for certain pitchers or hitters or home teams.

But the boxes on TV just feed incessant one sided whining about calls that are borderline at best.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Not to mention the incessant whining about the incessant whining.

The problem is that those numbers haven’t been that great even with the platooning. Given his career production against LHP it would likely be even worse if he faced them regularly.

Oh well, that's a chance you take when the lineup is this bad against lefty starters.  Mike Brosseau has a .267 obp this year while mostly being used to face lefties, I'll take my chances with Rowdy.

Caratini should probably be on DFA watch if his bat continues to fall apart. He's a liability behind homeplate. 20 SB to 2 CS and the worst pop time in the MLB.

The one I just showed you was far from borderline, though. Missed strike 3 which led to a walk...

That wasn’t one of the ones we were talking about.

If Monasterio can keep up these numbers would it be worth sending Turang down when Urías/Adames return for the service time?

Yes. And not just for the service time either. Needs regular at-bats.

We have a AAA lineup yet the focus is always on the umpires screwing this team. Start to face the fact that this team sucks and complain that the front office put us here instead of complaining about the umpires.

"One-sided incessant whining about calls that are borderline at best". While the ones we were previously discussing were more borderline (but still strikes), that one wasn't even close. Whining is more than warranted.

Don't do it for the service time, do it because he's a liability and belongs in AAA right now.

It’s much easier to blame the umps. That way you don’t need to blame anyone associated with the Brew Crew. De-Nile is the longest river on earth….lol.

Nobody on this team wants to step up.

I'm sure they want to.  It's more a matter of ability.

Another example of why playing Tellez regularly against LHP isn’t going to help anything.

He couldn’t even manage a weak grounder to the right side to advance the runner.
