A 1.5 game lead is not "taking control of the division". They're on a good run right now, but there's still good reason to be skeptical of them.

I agree 1.5 games is not taking control but what about that team are you skeptical of?  Nevermind they have more firepower coming and have the money and prospect capital to get whatever they need.  That team is good and going to be for some time.

Starting pitching, Joey Votto, etc. Plus their rookies will have their bumps, too. I am skeptical of them winning the division this year. Next year on, all bets are off.

Bandwagon. I would be more impressed if you were talking high of them in April or May…. or really any time before the streak.  Maybe you were, I don’t know.
