So it turns out that all the Brewers need to win is for me to not watch. I've spent the entire week laid up with a stomach parasite/bacteria that has caused me to lose 14 lbs in five days.

Or maybe all the Brewers need to win is for me to be horribly ill. Good lord, I hope that's not the case because that's just not going to work out for me at all.

Bido has done pretty well so far this season, but he has a couple of tendency's that could be exploited in his fourth start

His fastball has a real tendency to hover over the middle of the plate, both the sinker and the four seamer. The sinker is used more to lefties, but has just a 9.6% whiff rate.

His main pitch (slightly) is the slider, which he's sprayed around a bit, this is definitely not a command pitcher

He gets below average vertical movement on every pitch bar the changeup, which he uses pretty sparingly but has done very well with against lefties. It's putaway percetnage is 42.9% (I'm assuming 3/7)

Thanks. I think I'm finally on the upswing after starting some antibiotics to knock out whatever is ravaging my gut biome.

Exhibit A on why I don’t comment on weight loss in guys my age.

“Phil, you look great! What have you been doing?”
“Chemo, mostly.”

”Well…keep it up, I guess.”

I know it was mentioned in last night game thread but weather looks very hit and miss Saturday and Sunday. Not enough rain to cancel the game entirely but enough to potentially cause delays and screw up this Brewers bullpen further. Trying to stay positive for the weekend but bad things seem to happen when they go to Pittsburgh.

I know some one who kills the pirates we could call up to DH.  Rich hill is probably a shut out the final game so you gotta get these first two.

This is typical of how things have gone for this team offensively. Tapia has never been a world-beater, but he's a career .275 hitter who K's a bit less than 20% of the time. Of course he comes here & starts out 1-for 19 & Ks about half the time.

His being in the lineup is nothing more than an attempt to get Yelich off his feet for a night.

Summer bugs can be the worst. Glad to hear you're doing better, Brock.

Alright, time for Frelick and Huira to come up... this Tapia experiment has made me sick enough, time to get off this ride lol.

SSS, but Tapia has been way below replacement level for the Brewers. If he doesn't start hitting within the next week, I think you gotta cut bait.

Peralta gets a call to end the inning.

ETA: I guess that’s just where the bottom of the strike zone is going to be tonight.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
