Misiorowski's command has been so poor since his promotion to AA. Hopefully he can settle down like his last start, but just so many pitches that aren't even close to the zone.

Yeah, it's the worst it has been since joining the ML ranks. It's an aggressive promotion. But, I don't think any of us would have anticipated this type of command regression.

It's how his command looked in his very brief showing in Carolina last year.

Meanwhile, in Carolina, RHP Quinton Low walked his first batter faced in the top of the 5th. Ugh. I am still waiting patiently for that version of Low that finds the strikezone.

Low two full counts. Two walks to start the 5th inning. I have seen this far too many times for my liking as his season has progressed. Let's go young men. Let's start controlling your pitches. Third straight full count. Third straight walk. And these ball fours aren't even close. I'm telling you, no matter the stuff, this is happening far too often as his season has advanced. A real bummer.

And another full count and walk. Low is going to blow the Mudcats 4-1 lead here if he doesn't figure it out shortly

He got a K with another full count. Finally found the plate. This is the very definition of walking a tightrope. One down.

Low now gave up an rbi line drive single on a 1-2 count. A ball dead center cut. When you can't locate, you probably lack confidence trying to nibble or pitch outside the zone. Let's hope he can bear down here. 4-2 Mudcats.Nope. He just beaned the next batter. He's a total wreck right now. Goodness. In the process the bean ball injured his catcher. Ugh.

After the rbi single. Then the HBP. He luckily induces the 3-1 double play ball. The Highs and Low(s) are ongoing in 2023. 4-3 Mudcats. I miss those days of 3 straight strikeouts for Quinton. Sad face.

Misiorowski 7Ks in his first 9 outs but also 4 walks

4 BB and 2 HBP. When he's been around the strike zone he's dominated.

Mudcats get two runs back here in the 5th with a bases loaded groundout to deep SS and a throwing error to 1B on the DP attempt. You love to see it. Avina narrowly misses a deep ball to the wall on the next pitch. 6-3 Mudcats and we'll head to the 6th.

I am back in the T-Rats game and I just watched RHP Stiven Cruz walk a guy, give up a liner single to LF, get a hard hit fly out to Hall at 1B, and then walk the bases loaded in the next AB. I would really love it if our pitchers would start hitting the zone with more regularity as this evening progresses. LOL.

And, Cruz just beaned his next batter after getting the second out K. It's a 2-2 game. Literally JUST as I watched Misiorowski hit another batter on an inside heater. This evening is uncannily wild. And, I do not like it one ounce.

And, meanwhile in Caroline, RHP Jose Chavez just walked his first batter on four pitches.

I swear to you I am not making any of this up.

Cruz got the weak pop fly to shallow CF to escape further damage. Phew. Chavez walked his second batter after a 3-0 count went full. Men on first and second. Nobody out. As he continues to do his best impersonation of RHP Quinton Low, I guess. 😐

We're in a weather delay in Wisconsin. Chavez escaped his two on, two out mini jam with a fly out to LF, a K, and a line out to Adams who was charging to 3B during a hit and run double steal attempt.

What was with the umps warning both dugouts after Misio hit a guy? He has been wild but none of the HBPs were intentional

I think sometimes when enough guys get hit the other team hits back just for appearances sake………it’s almost like telling the other manager…”..if this guy can’t control his upper 90s fastball get him out of the game or we are going to hit your guys too.”

So the umpire decided to preempt it before it started.
