It's the bottom of the 9th inning and the Shuckers will look to Wes Clarke, Zavier Warren and Ethan Murray to tie the game or score 2 runs to walk it off. C'mon Biloxi!

The Bad News: Vieira only topped out at 99.3 mph, pitching on consecutive days.

The Exceptional News: He struck out the side, with all 3 batters going down swinging (including old friend Jesus Aguilar and long-time AA nemesis Drew Lugbauer)! Sounds win!

Another arm that can add with Uribe and McGill

Clarke walked, but Warren followed with a GIDP before Murray K'd to end it. Shuckers lose their 3rd straight against Pensacola, this one 4-3. Shoot!!

That Sounds victory, needless to say, was huge. Taking care of business early in this Stripers series has seen them gain two huge games on the entire League Lead for the 2nd half. 2.0 GB of a possible Playoff birth in this final push to close the season

Wisconsin still leads 2-1, heading to the top of the 9th inning. RHP Nick Merkel aims to close out this win.

Merkel concedes a 1-out double, so now it's RHP Shane Smith who comes in to try to end this thing in victorious fashion.

Smith makes life difficult by walking the first batter after being in a 2-2 count, then committing a throwing error on a ground ball from the next hitter. Bases loaded. 1 out. Wisconsin 2, Quad Cities 1. Mound visit to settle down.

This Bull pen is the one thing holding this team back

River Town singles in 2 runs on a base hit to left field and Quad Cities now leads Wisconsin 3-2. Ugh.......

The top of the order is due up in the bottom of the 9th inning: Lara, Moore, Wilken. Let's go Timber Rattlers!

Strikeout, fly out, fly out. Game Over. The Timber Rattlers let this one slip away with Quad Cities down to their final out. 3-2 loss.

Reece Walling and Yeison Perez go back to back! ACL Brewers up 2-0 over the super old ACL Rockies in the 1 game playoff.

Unfortunately, we also had 2 men thrown out on the basepaths that inning - Juan Baez trying to extend a single, Cooper Pratt out at home on the much-maligned "contact play".

In better news, we do lead 2-0. Juan Baez has a double, single and walk, while Reece Walling and Yeison Perez have those back-to-back homers. We're out-hitting the ACL Rockies 6-1. LHP Tate Kuehner pitched scoreless 3rd and 4th innings. And 18-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez did indeed come in to pitch a scoreless 5th inning, collecting two Ks.

Now RHP KC Hunt has come in to throw the bottom of the 6th inning.

Is  something clicking for Vieira? He's been dominant the last two months...and the whole year for that matter outside 3 outings in June.

Another guy with a 100MPH FB, a splitter, whatever he's throwing now, but from scouting reports, he threw 5 pitches...very few accurately, but the Brewers tend to do well with those types.

ACL Brewers up 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th. Runner on 1st base and the ACL Rockies are pinch hitting a 24 year old...why do they have so many 23+ position players on their ACL team??

Wild pitch moves the tying run to 2B with still only 1 out. It's getting hairy.

Huge strikeout! 2 outs with a runner on 2nd still. 1 out away from advancing to the ACL Final!

Whiting strikes out the final hitter! ACL Brewers win! Moving on to the 3 game championship series to face the winner of ACL Dodgers and ACL D-Backs Red. ACL Dodgers are winning 3-2 over ACL D-Backs Red in the 7th inning.

I guess I should have scrolled up.

The answer seems to be yes.

Williams/Payamps/Peguero/Uribe/Milner/McGill/Vieira/Wilson

This group would make Kevin Cash and his stable of horses blush!

I’m going with innings in Craigtember—

Williams-Payamps-Uribe-Megill-Milner-Peguero-Lauer-Gasser-Wilson.

Lauer can go 1-2 innings to hold his velo, Gasser can pitch 2-4 innings stints to stay relatively stretched in case of injury to a starter.

How has Lauer been pitching? I keep forgetting he is an option and haven't heard much on him lately.

Velo back up to 94 for an inning or two before it drops, so for me he should be pitching 1 maybe 2 inning stints out of the bullpen.

Gasser should be the spot starter if needed.
