Canha is a bum. Canha is a great hitter.

This chat board.

I don't think anyone's called him a bum in quite a while.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

If they had called him safe, it probably would have been safe.

Most likely.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Ouch, realistically both could have reach had Adames walked. A double play to score a run, two singles and 3-0 up. A bit of an odd zone so far but may be handy for Woodruff if he exploits it like Burnes did yesterday

Batting .348.  But that's a poor stat to ponder in the game of baseball.

There's a reason why a guy like Julio Rodriguez is a more valuable player than Arraez despite hitting more than 50 points lower. It is a pretty poor stat.

Extremely poor? If you say so. But some of us old water buffaloes like to know how often a guy stands at the plate and gets a hit.

K.   Personally I'd prefer to know how many times he doesn't make an out.

Seems a lot more important.

I think the value largely depends on the makeup of the rest of the lineup.

I just looked it up. Arraez' OBP is .391. Is that any good?
