I would be confident if we had Woody tomorrow & Peralta on Thursday

Let's be honest. Gallen is going to be super tough tomorrow. But there's a reason we play the games.

A three game series leaves no margin for error

I miss a seven game series

Too many mediocre teams make the playoffs today

I think its ridiculous to play 162 games and win a division just to have to play a 2 of 3 to get to the second round.

That’s exactly it.   This team was never going to compete for a WS so I’m not sure why I’m so disappointed.

You want to win this series at least.    Now we aren’t even going to win a game

just a bad taste in your mouth

I want to win the world series and anything less is disappointing but the complete lack of postseason success since 2018 is unacceptable.

Boy, you sure are going to be disappointed the rest of your life.

Its probably because we've never won one and it feels like we never will.

That guy doesn’t enjoy anything.     I don’t think it bothers him

It's Dame time folks. There is an organization who goes all out trying to win. No Winkers on that team

If only I cared at all about basketball.

Uecker is never going to get to see this team win a World Series in his lifetime, and it's a shame.

If I didn't care I sure as heck wouldn't be on here. Losing to the Dodgers would have been fine since they and Atlanta are both far better teams but losing this series will make the season a failure. Its great if you can get excited about regualr season success but I would like to see this team win some in the postseason.

Winker was on the playoff roster

Oh my god.     Hahahahahah

this fricking team

I honestly didn't pay attention to their roster before the game and couldn't watch every moment.  1st time I knew Winker was even in Milwaukee was after I saw him walking up to the plate in the 8th and thought I was transported to an early May game...absolutely insane.

Winker himself isn't the reason the Brewers lost tonight...but the organizational mentality to even have Winker on a playoff series roster has played a big part in why this team can't perform in the playoffs.

Seems to me like Canha is probably injured, too (didn't he get a cortisone shot recently??) with a  bad wrist - yet he's tonight's cleanup hitter.

This damn team can't help itself but show up to October on fumes, no matter what the last few seasons.

I mean...no team ever has WS-winning odds much higher than like 12 percent, so, by definition, it is kind of unreasonable to "expect" to win a World Series. I'm not saying you shouldn't. I just think that expectation means you're going to be pretty miserable watching a lot of October baseball (which is the best baseball).

My college basketball analogy is: The Brewers winning the division is not all that different than an A10 school making the Sweet 16. It's something worth celebrating regardless of what happens next.

Then be better in the regular season so you can rest up for the 2nd round like the Dodgers and Braves in the NL.

Its hard enough for us to make the playoffs with the payroll disparities but beating out two well run organizations like that with their financial advantages is a tough ask.

well, then it's not worth complaining about the playoff format when the Brewers aren't better at baseball than the two teams most deserving of representing the NL in the World Series.

Be happy the Brewers once again got to the dance - it's just too bad they fell into the punch bowl and likely will be headed home to change out of their uniforms before the playoffs really even get rolling.

And why not have him hit daily the last few games if he is making the playoff roster? No MLB pitching for weeks/months? And he is our left handed bat off bench?

I wonder how the number of Brewers swing andmisses tonight compared to the d-backs?

Seems like the Brewers had twice as many and especially at pitches out of the zone.

Having him on a playoff roster with absolutely no at bats in the lead up is shear stupidity. It may or may not have made a difference in the game but it's more of a symptom of poor playoff management

Agreed, I absolutely hate the new post season system.  A division winner should get more than a three game series.  They may let way too many teams in the playoffs in hockey and basketball but at least they get a 7 game series.

It was obvious by the time the calendar got to May that Winker was washed as a MLB hitter and he was an expensive bounceback candidate/flyer gone wrong in an offseason trade - but credit to the Brewers for taking a sunk cost with his $8+M salary and making it even more painful with continued onfield futility mixed between navigating him through a season full of questionable IL stints and endless minor league rehab assignments to keep him on that 40 man roster for when they needed him the most in October.

Like the Brewers?  Not being able to score after getting guys on base has been an issue all season and it came back to bite us in the fanny yet again tonight.

Yes, it sucks to lose and it will be one huge mountain to climb to win this series now.  But seriously, did anyone here in their heart of hearts really believe we could have waltzed into LA and beat the Dodgers with this offense even if we find a way to make it to the next round?  Let AZ be their next victim.  🙁
