Are people seeing site slowness?

I'm checking in on general site health to see if people are seeing ridiculously slow load times recently. I haven't seen this at all but I know at least one user in the New England area has.

I'm in the Twin Cities and have no issues. It wouldn't surprise me if most of you in WI are also not seeing issues.

But what about you east coasters?

Yes, I've been getting slower load times over the last few days or so. It's spotty, doesn't always happen. But when I came on the site today around an hour ago it was really bad, although in the last few minutes things are responding much faster.

I'm in Wisconsin, Fox Valley area.

Everything is working fine now though. I don't know if I've just had bad luck or if something else changed but it's been as one would normally expect. When I first visited this morning for about the first half hour or so pages would take 30 seconds or longer to load.

We have multiple servers. I wonder if one of them is wheezing. That would make sense, maybe you were automatically shifted from ol' wheezer to a fully armed and operational battle server.

I have been seeing this the past couple of weeks, so much so that I haven't been checking in as often because it is unbelievably slow.

I'm also in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin, and use my PC 99% of the time I check in to this site.

Today is even worse than normal.

 

Also, I recommended this site to a buddy of mine last week, he said it was too slow and gave up.  He is also in the Fox Valley area.

Wow, if it ever gets this bad, someone please let me know. I'm not seeing this kind of lag AT ALL and if I don't have knowledge of it, I will assume things are chugging along as normal.

Consistent 20 to 30 second load times for me on each click. Brutal on my iPhone, but various desktop browsers no better.

This forum gets limited views. You may wish to consider reaching out on the Major League Forum.

I'm also having very slow load times the past week or so.  20 seconds typical.  I almost did not post in this thread cause it was taking too long. Ohh the irony. All seriously, it has been very noticeable.

Okay, it turns out I was on the right path. One of our server instances (of four) was pegged at 99% CPU usage. We've added more instances (now six) and told the offending server to stop being naughty.

Let me know if things are still slow in an hour. It takes a little time to spool up the new instances and properly redistribute users across them.

So it turns out that our master server is getting hammered by bots. If you're unfortunate enough to be allocated to that server, that's why you're seeing site slowness. We're working on it and hope to have it resolved by tomorrow.

I've been noticing very slow loading times this past week. frequent gateway 504 timeouts. Is it just me or have others been experiencing this.  I was on travel so I thought that may be it, but I'm getting back in Milwaukee now.

We're getting hammered by DDOS attacks, trying to combat them.
