I think Keller has been incredible tonight. His stuff is up a tick and he's been on the edges all game. I genuinely believe the Brewers have been pretty good at the plate tonight. They just can't sequence the hits together to save their life tonight.

They do. And they are 6.5 games behind us.

Yes - I’m aware… like you, I follow baseball closely so I’m aware of the NL Central standings. But Pittsburgh has three starters who are very good. Milwaukee needs a few more quality starters if they want to win this division.

Seems like this is the norm every time after we score 10 or more in a game.

It actually seems to happen a lot with every team after a big outburst.

As covered in the thread about the Brewers offense, they have an unusually high number of low scoring games (3 runs or less) for a team with their total number of runs scored.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

He tried and failed yesterday but Viera is putting this one out of reach.

But 5.5 if we continue to play like we're only moderately interested.

Good job Vieira doing what he can to put this one out of reach.

Hope he finishes the game & is unavailable to pitch for a week more sInce management won’t DFA him

I seldom dislike a Brewers player.

I’m not fond at all of Thyago Veiera - or however you spell his name.

He's fine as a back-of-the-bullpen guy, but Murphy uses him all the time. He's his "down multiple runs in the seventh or later guy," whether "multiple runs" means 2 or 6.

I do not understand how Murphy uses the bullpen. It's not even that I disagree, just that I see no overriding philosophy at all, really, and that troubles me. I actually question the guy's understanding of leverage.
