Freddy is not and never will be an ace.

I wish I could throw a tantrum and disagree with you, but I came here to post the same exact thing.

He just isn't.

I’ve really been enjoy the game. I live in Houston and love the Astros, but the Brewers were my team growing up and are still my NL team. I’m in person tonight and tomorrow, so if anyone happens to be at the game, I’d love to say hi!

Freddy will be a good pitcher for years to come. Elite fastball (VAA, really positive run value and all that fancy stuff) and stirkeouts, but he is no ace. His secondary stuff is mediocre and whenever things go bad he lacks the composure to get out of his head and get results. I love him to bits but he is a solid number 2 at best.

This staff does not have an ace and, if Misiorowski does not get his stuff under control, I don't see one in the minors. Guys like Knoth and Wichrowski have potential, but it is too early to tell

Safe (I hope)

On the big screen it looked like the tag clearly got him before his foot hit the bag. But NY is blind.

Well, he's our ace. He may not be the best ace in the league, but he's not the wurst. And we're in first place. And the cubs lost again.

Classic apologist post

Brewers don’t have an ace

Freddy is currently the most experienced starter

I mean I'm glad Freddy's on our team. He's a steal for what they are paying him. But you are either an ace or you're not. The best starter on a team doesn't make one an ace and I just hate hearing him being called one. Can't even sniff going 6 innings per start in any season pretty much removes you from the conversation in my mind.

VIEIRA WARMING UP? Why him!?

Murphy is not aware that good relievers can pitch in games to keep a game close.
