O'Rae strikes out looking in his 2nd and 3rd AB. Will be interesting to watch his strikeout rate in AA. He struck out quite a bit in A+ for a guy with such little power.

Shuckers defense failing Smith in the 5th. O'Rae tries to get the double play despite there being absolutely no play at 2B and an easy out at 1B. It leads to both runners reaching. 1st and 2nd with 1 out now when it should be 2nd with 2 outs.

Shuckers doing their best to execute themselves into a deficit. Rough defense to start this 5th frame. O'Rae tried to force a DP when EBJ hadn't gotten to the bag. Ball arrived late. EBJ arrived steps late. He fires awkwardly and a bit low to Boeve who can't hold the ball. Two men on. One down. Got to at least grab one out there. The Shuckers continue to try to give runs away. 1-1 game.

Exactly. Bad decision by O'Rae. No doubt about it. The runner had left before contact. Gotta take the out at 1B.

Shane Smith with another walk with a bunch of bad misses. Bases juiced with 1 out and his day is done. Yoho comes in trying to strand the bases loaded.

AND, now Smith has walked them full. That O'Rae decision compounded by the fact he gave the Trash Pandas a free bag when his starting pitcher has been extremely erratic in this outing. Bases juiced. Smith's outing will end.

That was a rough outing. AND, his teammates doing him absolutely zero favors. 2024 Shuckers baseball. Never ever easy.

Yoho comes in and goes 6 pitches, 6 strikes to strikeout both hitters and strand the bases loaded. Hilariously bad swings.

Right? The best thing about Yoho coming on is it prevents his defense from botching the plays. This entire defense gives me pause tonight. To a man.

Are we starting to think he might get a chance to help the big club this season?

Well, my friend, let me rehash what I've been saying for over two months: It was abundantly crystal clear when he was in Carolina: he's a MLB pitcher yesterday. I would maybe be surprised if the Brewers did it? BUT, his stuff is filthy. Not a lot of comfortable swings anywhere he's pitched. Lotttttta swing and miss. Lottttttta strikes looking.

Could he? I think so. Will he? I very much doubt it. This is just his second season as a pitcher. Having him come up late in the year when he's over his career high in IP feels like something I don't think the Brewers would put on him especially because our bullpen has been very good.

It's nice to see RHP Yerlin Rodriguez didn't use the Wisconsin playoff berth as an excuse to stop putting runners on base every inning he pitches. 😅

Darrien Miller squeaked a lined ground ball through the 2B side. Cargo scores from 2B (had singled a flare up the middle). EBJ (walk) moves to 3rd. 3-1 Shuckers! Let's go, gents! I neeeeeeed the Shuckers 'W'!

For those of you who've never seen Yoho pitch...the movement is just absurd. Take a look at this breaking ball. How it started? Ball is at the batters chin level there.Screen Shot 2024-06-18 at 6.16.54 PM.png

Yoho has ran out of gas. Command really wavered to the last two hitters and he walks both of them and gets pulled.

Yup. Pitch count reached 30. Couldn't get the chase in the 1st walk. Second walk he had clearly run out of gas. Regardless, great outing overall.
