With a new day upon us, let's look at one of our favorite DSL stars of 2024. INF Jesus Made. You have to love the fast hands and violence he can get with this bat as it makes its way through the strike zone. Goodness. He might be a mon-star, folks:

** One thing consistently sticks out in these DSL highlights beyond the performances themselves: the excitement and support from the dugout. It's so great to hear the raucous jubilation!**

RHP Dariel Jacquez, in just his third appearance and 2nd GS, just threw 4 2/3 IP of scoreless 2 H, 1 BB, 5 K ball. He did have a HB and a WP in there. He's 17 years old until mid December.

If you were wondering why a couple of us here were absolutely jonesing to see INF Luis Pena (17 years old until mid November) back in the line-up after a very brief game and a half absence (whew), it's because, well, he's very very clearly an absolute stud. Another two-bagger. Another three-bagger. Two two-out rbi's. Caught stealing for the second time in two games? GASP. Through 48 official AB he is batting a ripe 0.500 with an equally ripe 1.293 OPS. Jeebus that is ridunkulous.

Top of the 7th the DSL Cerveceros Uno lead the Dos 7-0.

2 CS in 2 days? We missed the chance to sell high.

We absolutely missed the Top. We'll have to wait for a patented rebound double-top and sell before the sell-off. 😬

I was just digging back through Chourio's age 17 DSL season. He really didn't take off until his last month of that season and he still didn't have months quite like Peña, Madé, and Anderson. To see them performing like this so early...it gets me unreasonably excited.😅AND, that doesn't even factor in several other players having fantastic early goings.

Eric Bitonti with a 2 HR game and it's only the 3rd inning. Flashing his all fields power with one to left center and the other to right.

Rehabbing 26-year old RHP Easton McGee started for ACL Brewers, his first game action since a 6.2-inning start for the Mariners on April 29, 2023.

Pena-Made & Anderson with OPS’s N of 1.000 and K-rates of 12-15%. And not just singles hitters either.

I guess 2023 Nashville Sound Michael Reed is making a go at it as a pitcher. He's pitching the 7th inning for the ACL Rangers and has pitched nearly 20 innings for them this year with pretty solid results.

Low-A Carolina leads this week’s series in Columbia 4 games to 1 and has 18-year old Josh Knoth (4.05 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 10.8 K/9 in 40 IP) on the mound to keep it rolling. Old man (24) C David Garcia has thrown out 34% of basestealers this year and hit safely in 6 of his last 7 games.

High-A Wisconsin is tied 2-2 in their series at Fort Wayne and have 20-year old RHP Yujanyer Herrera (3.56 ERA, 1.23 WHIP. 11.1 K/9 in 48 IP) making his 6th start (12th appearance) of 2024 tonight. 2B Jadher Areinamo has a 6-game hitting streak.

22-year old RHP Logan Henderson (3rd AA start - 1.69 ERA with 13 Ks in 10.2 IP at this level)) and Biloxi aim to close out a series win at Rocket City. The offense will need to step up despite missing their top 2 hitters by OPS (Campbell, Boeve).

The last 2 outings haven’t gone as planned for LHP Aaron Ashby (8 IP; 11 ER, 5 Ks), so let’s hope he can turn it around tonight. The AAA Sounds are tied 2-2 in their home series against Durham. DH Wes Clarke has a 13-game hitting streak.

Boy I think Yophery just hit an oppo-taco but the umps are saying it didn't leave the yard. I thought it bounced off the top of the yellow line then off the railing above the yellow line and back onto the field. We never got a zoomed/good angle so maybe they got it right, but I think Yophery was robbed.

Yophery Rodriguez had a home run that hit over the top of the fence but was called a double. Then got caught stealing third during the next PA.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that was a HR! My eyes aren't failing me yet.

Yep, looked like it bounced off the middle of the chain link fence above the line. But definitely not a clear replay.

Herrera's lacking that putaway pitch here in the first inning. TinCaps really driving his pitch count up. Bases loaded, 2 out, and Herrera at 27 pitches.

Herrera gets up 0-2 then throws 4 straight balls to walk the run home. He's at 33 pitches.

Herrera goes to down 3-0 to Kai Murphy then gets a generous strike 1 call. Kai Murphy hit a hard grounder straight to the shifted Gregory Barrios at SS to end the inning. 38 pitch inning for Herrera but only 1 ER. Have to imagine his day could be done.
