Or maybe not after all?

I swear they had him listed as entering the game in the play log, but when I checked back to see how the inning went he has disappeared from the box.

Strange things afoot in the friscalating dusk light of the AZ desert.

Wait a minute. I just got the locker room footage of Chambers before he uniformed and walked to the mound. I think you're on to something here!

Bitonti 3-4 with another oppo HR tonight. I'm not sure what more he has to prove in the ACL at this point.

Probably more of a case of Cooper Pratt, Juan Baez, Daniel Guilarte, and Filippo Di Turi being at Carolina.  More innings available in the ACL.

Right?! I've been thinking this for a couple weeks.

Before tonight's game we already knew:

1st Barrel % in ACL (31%)
3rd SLG (.596)
3rd ISO  (.289)
3rd OPS (1.028)
9th OBP (0.432)
10th BB% (18%)

Andddd he goes 3-for-4 with an oppo taco? We're playing Catchers and Walling at 1B in Carolina. There's definitely room for him to show his wares in the Carolina League.

Current 3B 'competition' a deserving and well-performing utility man in Miguel Briceno. The over-arching point here is there are places he should very well be able to find PT with stiffer competition.

Side Bar:

RHP Jason Woodward's first inning as a professional baseball tonight. Noice! 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 ER. The feet are wet!

Any news on the Pratt injury?

I would move Pratt to A+ and Bitonti to Carolina. That way there are still enough ab's for everyone.

No updates as of yet. We do have a new angle (posted yesterday) of the slide in question from Josh Norris. From this angle, it actually looks like his right leg was spiked but he twisted up his left leg in the slide? Either way, entirely impossible to tell in any replay what actaully happened. Did he actually jam his right leg off the catcher's left leg? Live, in game action, when I was watching it it just seemed like an innocuous landing of the cleats on his left leg. This angle is all sorts of mysterious:

He's struck out just five times in his last 33 PA's as well, and just once in his last four games

Hats off to Briceno for turning his season around after a rough start.  His April/May/June OPS looks like this: 535/704/850.  That's what I call progressive improvement.

I though Bitonti had a HR last night, but the final box score has him 2-5 with a K, and the HR was Ordonez?

Obviously no video feed to confirm, so Gameday was incorrect and the Box score is correct is what I would have to presume?
