The brewers just get their ass whipped by good teams.   Like can’t even win a game whuppings.   Thank god there aren’t that many good teams 

 

but for god sakes you have to win a game you hit a grand slam in.  Not give 45 home runs to one guy

Might as well be watching this year's playoffs. Brewers just don't have the depth to match up.

Spencer makes a good point how bad Contreras framed that should have been strike 3 to Freeman. Contreras has regressed significantly behind the plate. He's flatout been a bad defensive catcher this season.

MLB has two major problems -- huge payroll discrepancies amongst teams AND crooked ball-strike callers behind the plate!

Brewers have 4 hits. 1 since the slam. Not good enough. Somebody explain why Mitchell come back from vacation and is hitting 5th. He's ahead of Frelick and Chourio who have been hot. Insane

Yep, putting the game in that position to begin with is on the pitching staff which was largely horrible today.

I've avoided commenting or even really thinking about this...but it's time.  That gross feeling in the stomach after Phillips gets a call vs. Mitchell that was 3 inches outside and Hoby gets screwed on the should have been K.  It's just gross.  But as has been said, it's 1 game out of 162.

The pitch clock was a good first step to improving the game and the next one has to be doing something about the strike zone.
