Dude, I'm a Wilken fan, but that statement is just plain WOW!

Not that the Brewers would do this but Devers is not happy in Boston.  I would trade Peralta and a prospect or two for Devers and cash/international bonus money.

If prospect ranking lists mean nothing to you, then check the stats between both of them. Mayo is lightyears ahead of Wilken. What reasons would you take Wilken over Mayo?

I'd be ALL for it. You're right, though, the Brewers won't do that.

I 1000 percent agree with Big Red.  At this point, Mayo is oodles above Wilken prospect ranking wise.

Light years now that's funny  let wilken  have as many abs and games played then we can compare them.

To be fair I don't think the Red Sox do this deal either.

Yes, lightyears. Every team in MLB would agree, too. Here's Mayos' stats. We understand, though, you're like most MLB fans. They overvalue their prospects, just because they play for their favorite team. What were those reasons I asked about earlier? I'm curious.

Are you saying that solely based on the contract?

I definitely wouldn't mind Devers in Milwaukee. He's a pretty darn good player.

Yea with that contract it would never happen.  And I can't imagine they'll trade him, eventually he'll just settle into 1B/DH for the year and the story will go away.    And for his beef, chances are he'd have the same beef with the Brewers. He's not good at 3B D, so we'd also be telling him to move to 1B/DH

Yup, Devers has the 3rd worst DRS (-62) and 2nd worst FRV (-21) at 3B since the metrics were introduced.

Between him, Yoshida (-4 DRS | -12 FRV in only 714 innings as a LF) and Casas (-7 DRS | -8 FRV in 1,747 innings at 1B) they essentially have three guys that should be mostly DH-ing.

We wouldn't trade for Devers because he wants to play 3rd and he sucks at it. The moving of positions is the whole reason he is upset in the first place.

I get it but lets compare the same seasons against each other its like your just glossing over his college stats and wilken  hasn't played anywhere close to the same amount of games mayo has. Prove me wrong you haven't even but nice try 😂

Mayo didn't play college ball. He was drafted out of high school. As for his minor league stats, there's a reason why Mayo is a top 20 prospect in all of MLB, and Wilken isn't. Every team in baseball knows Mayo is much better than Wilken at this point.

C'mon, man. Drop it. Mayo is a significantly better prospect than Wilken, and I suspect that you know that.

And inviting people to "prove you wrong," complete with sarcastic emoji-game? Just knock it off.

I agree with you. One thing I don't understand about this site, though, is why so many people are annoyed by emoji's? Since body expressions/voice tones obviously can't be seen or heard when posting things, sometimes an emoji is just a way of expressing themselves. So other people don't misconstrue the intent of comments.
