If we are going to win the series we need 2 in a row and Blach not a very good pitcher either.

No excuses tonight.

Not to mention the season series. We don't need to lose another one of those to yet another bottom feeder like Washington and Miami. It really is amazing how this team is in first place by nine games with that resume and being 3-7 against the Dodgers and Phillies. Dominating the American League and our division I guess.

Playing in a crappy division helps a ton.

Still kind of crazy to look at how the Brewers have performed around their three game losing streaks this year…

start 10-3
(0-3) 7-2
(0-3) 3-0
(0-3) 16-9
(0-3) 8-4
(0-3) 8
-2
(0-3
) 2-1
(0-3) 13-7
(0-3) 14-5
(0-3) ???

Can they not only stave off a four gamer for the ninth time this year, but also answer back with a nice extended run like they did in six of the previous eight instances?

Stay tuned, I guess.

So hard to 'splain that. It suggests resiliency, along with the obvious talent that you can't be 21 games over .500 without, regardless of how you got there.

I'll beat the same drum I always have.....inconsistency. Given the youth of the player position group it should be expected, I guess. One thing I hoped they'd settle into is the knack of making pitchers work hard for their outs. It eventually makes a starter crack & has served us well earlier in the year, but due to the inconsistency of youth it often disappears. We were entertaining yesterday so I didn't get to watch as closely as I usually do, but I noticed Feltner was around 46 pitches through 2 innings, and after that it drastically changed. IMO that's where the Turangs, Frelicks, Ortizes, Perkins & Mitchells come in. When the tough extended ABs aren't there it seems to become an epidemic.

In the NL yes, it is the weakest Division

the AL Central and AL West are weaker.
