Dropped Turang in the order even with RHP starting. Mitchell at DH with a big swing. Made the right move with Hall and Megill (even though I would have considered Hall for the 8th with two LH due up),

They're three times as close to the Dodgers as they are to the Cubs. They'll be a game closer to the Dodgers than the Phillies. 2.5 games isn't insurmountable at all, even if not likely.

Most likely not, but the Brewers getting a bye is literally 40x more likely than them being caught by the Cubs (per FanGraphs), so a Dodgers/Phillies meltdown should be the primary scoreboard watching rooting interest

Dodgers are better than us.    So are the Phillies.    They will win games at a decent clip.    I think we are more likely to be fighting at around the 90 win mark by the end of the season then we are at winning the 95-97 wins to catch both of them

 

this team has proven people wrong at different spots throughout the year.   But look at our schedule.    It’s a beast with a lot of games against teams that are fighting their rear ends off

 

blowing the cards and Rockies home series ended our hope for that.    Now it’s about trying to clinch a playoff spot without it getting to late into that last week

We have to start scoring some runs or it could get ugly these next 10-12 games.    Those teams aren’t going to give us 5-6 wins easy

We have the best run differential in baseball. We should win games at a decent clip despite our schedule, too. I don't think we're likely to catch the Dodgers, but it's far, far more realistic than the Cubs catching us.
