That 3B list is gross :)

Yes it is. That is why they shouldn’t pigeon-hole themselves into needing a 3B to move Ortiz to SS when Turang can also play SS. Yes there are a couple interesting trade targets in Eugenio Suarez and Josh Smith, but idk how available they are.  But Brandon Lowe and  Durbin sharing 2B with Lowe also playing 1B/DH and Durbin as UTIL would be nice.

I think the bigger thing is finding the kevorkah that we seem to have with random relievers and figure out the right infielder to add. Moncada and Polanco have some potential.  Hopefully we smartly decide if either is worth a lesser deal or not but both could be a big hit “potentially” in our system.

We could possibly fill 3B internally. Our prospects there may be actually 2 years away though unfortunately, but if Durbin does well then we might be ok.

1B/DH may be a bigger need and that list looks pretty bad.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

I know this is devoid of lots of info, but in a vacuum just showing age and WAR over the last 2yrs it is crazy to see Severino, Houser, and Montas all next to each other with the same age and same WAR and 2 of those guys just got paid a boatload of money while Houser had to take a MiLB deal.

Not surprising at all, Montas and Severino have been able to pitch effectively after suffering significant arm injuries.

Houser has missed time with multiple elbow injuries since June of 2022, a time period which coincides with his production falling off.

He’s on an MiLB deal because of those reliability issues.

Oh, ok. I must have misunderstood what I said. Thank you!

Brandon Lowe just makes way too much sense for this team.  It almost frustrates me that a deal hasn't happened yet to get him into a Brewers uniform!  Get it done Arnold.

Speaking of "getting it done:" what do we think it'd take to get Lowe from the Rays?  Are we thinking something like Black & Knoth (or maybe Henderson)?  Is that too much?  Too little?

The people you are willing to give for Lowe makes me happy we haven’t traded for Lowe.

Who then?  Someone has to come off the 40 MR.  Maybe Oliver Dunn and a young SS prospect not named Made or Pratt.  Di Turi, O'Rae, or Baez?  I think they would want more.

I wouldn’t include Black or Henderson.   I’d probably do Dunn, Or’Rae, and Knoth (not that the Rays would).   But I’m not including Black oe Henderson in a. Lowe deal.

In my preseason blueprint from a couple days ago I laid out multiple reasons why a Frelick/Lowe trade would make sense for both teams in my opinion.
