I have no information on this but I have to assume she [Sopihia] has been offered. I'm assuming her being from here gives the Brewers the chance they need to keep her .. hopefully they have given her the bump each time she is approached to warrant her staying.

I like her on the media side as much as I like Chourio on the baseball side

No matter what they would say publicly, it’s still an image based industry (how many sideline/dugout  women reporters are there that weigh in at over 190 lbs?), lots of good looking women would love to be a sideline/dugout reporter in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, San Diego, etc. so there’s no real need to seek someone out with an existing gig.

Yeah…..I like Sophia but nobody is turning into a baseball game to watch the sideline reporter…….she has a few side gigs around town……she gets to live and work in her hometown ………she’s been her long enough now that if she wanted to move and was sought after she would be gone……

I’ve seen enough. We’re going to the World Series

That's the spirit.

How much you going to book on that?

Dawn Staley on the sidelines is classless.

Angel Reese is the definition of classless.

I’m in New York and went to the Mets-Jays game. Citi is a very nice park. Food options are amazing. And Jesse Winker has an ops 300 pts higher than when he was a brewer. Bastard

How much is a hot dog? $100? Lol

It is a very nice park.  You just don't want to attend a night game there that gets a rain delay.  Not many options getting out of there after midnight.  Trains to the city only once every 30-45 minutes.

I could be very wrong but I would be shocked if any of those places have had a position become available and didn't at least inquire. How many of the sideline reporters in those current markets are bilingual? Genuine question. Especially in those markets, Sophia would be worth 2x to the viewers in those places. She is very, very good at what she does for us and those other places have so many more eyes on their product.

I liked Trenni and she was poached so quickly. Until I'm told otherwise I have to believe Sophia has chosen to stay in lieu of other opportunities. Again, I could be wrong.

You could be right, I’m probably in the minority but I find having a cute girl do a couple of color segments during the game then ask a player what it was like to hit the ball that won the game kind of stupid.

What I can say  is there are hundreds of women graduating from the big time journalism schools; Northwestern, Syracuse, Arizona State, UCLA each year.

From a business sense, unless a network believes an experienced dugout reporter is going to bring in more eyeballs or subscribers,   given the supply and demand issues, there’s not a lot of business sense in trying to “lure” one away from another network/club.
