Why pull the righty for a lefty with a bunch of right hand bats coming up?

Makes no sense.

Or just use Uribe instead.  Does anyone know with Murph ejected, is he able to make decisions from the clubhouse and get the decisions to the dugout or is it really Rickie Weeks making all the calls now?

Ump is killing us.

Errors and walking guys after jumping ahead in the count have killed the Brewers tonight, not the umpires.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Why would they warm Uribe up…..if they knew they weren’t going to use him no matter what?

Koenig clearly didn’t have it, command was spotty and was throwing slower than usual. His pitch count got high. Why not take the platoon advanced with Uribe if he’s warmed up??? They certainly weren’t gonna put him in the game if they lost the lead.

I am not able to watch the game today but am following the mlb GameDay app.

Any reason Quintana only threw 75 pitches? It seemed like he was pitching ok but the defense let him down.

I was all ready to praise Koenig when he went in for the 6th and then he gives up a run.

Walking a guy hitting 200 with the bases loaded. I mean this team is a reflection of the manager right now.

Or just sub par players at 1/2 our positions.  Which means we will lose no matter what we decide to do or who's at bat. That is my conclusion.

Quick hook. Gave up a walk and an RBI single and that was it for his night

Walked one guy hitting 0.152 and the other was hitting 0.211

What happened? Quintana had 75 pitches in the middle of the sixth, looked like he was going deep, and suddenly they’ve burned half the bullpen.

I don’t think they reflect their manager at all. Not a single player show’s fight or energy. They all look unnecessarily glum. That’s why they miss a guy like Willy so much to keep it loose.

Murphy just went out there and chewed out an ump in a classic way that you hardly see anymore…..and his team looks half asleep. How are they reflecting a hard nosed scrappy guy when they are acting the opposite of that?

Good stuff Payamps.

Maybe he is turning the corner? Even though the ERA is still gross, I am pretty sure after a little rough start last year he had a really good last like 40 appearances or something like that.

Yeah I think its something like 1 run in his last 8. Got it together.

Nice hit Jackson!

Very poorly managed game today.  Quintana probably could have gone 8 innings and he's a great guy to have on the mound with 1st and 3rd 1 out.  Instead they pull him, burn through half the pen, plus got Uribe warmed up and didn't use him, and will most likely lose anyway.

Hard to score many runs with no extra base hits. And the guys in the middle of the order aren’t getting them.
