The Priest will be a Beast,

AND

beat the bonus babies from the East!

You Sean Manaea may be as rich as Bobby Bonilla,

BUT

The Brewers will kill 'ya!

Heading to our first game of the season today!    Following the crazy rain last night, anything that might be impacted by the flooding?

We have a couple littles in tow, and I figured (given the 10" in rain last night) that the Helfaer Field stuff today is likely cancelled, but maybe the crowd will be a bit late arriving due to the rain to allow for more time to explore inside before it gets crowded.

Pumped that it looks like sellout #7 in a row today!   Hopefully we can make it 9 in a row with QP on the mound

Looks like dl hall and Anderson better be ready to go today.    I’m assuming a lot of relievers aren’t going to be pitching today

Mears and Koenig should be available and Miller can close if needed.

Yelich is 0-6 lifetime against LHP Sean Manaea. Could be a nice day for a rest?

Contreras hit HR yesterday but I assume Jansen catches.

That's what I'm thinking too. Yelich sits and Contreras DHes. I would think one of Frelick or Turang has the day off too, but Turang is hot right now.

Since losing 2 of 3 at the Mets at the beginning of July, the Brewers have gone 23-5. That’s including two series against the Dodgers and one each against the Mariners, Cubs, and now the Mets - all current playoff teams (the Marlins are 3 of those losses - our kryptonite). The Mets are 13-16 since that time.

Listen, I’m as greedy as anyone, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we let up a little today. It’ll be more important to eat some innings with Priester and lower-leverage pen guys. We’re so hot right now that maybe we’ll get to their quality southpaw and grind it out.

Managing expectations my friend....     that said, let's go for the kill.   We've had quality brewers teams in the past that would play well, but could never put our opponent away.

Hoping we can continue to be aggressive and play to win rather than "not to lose".  I know this is VERY early, but I've actually started to worry that we'll win the division and lock up a top 1-2 seed too early, and we'll lose momentum by resting our guys the last week/two of the season.

I hope we can avoid that this time around.  Play to the bell (game 162)...  the only season in the past 10 that we did that (2018 because we didn't win the division until the last game) was also the season that we had our best success (within 1 game of the WS)

Off day on Thursday. No more off days for 18 straight days after that. Difficult to balance keeping the momentum we have now versus preserving health for later.

Turang has played in 96% of our games this year. He is also 3 for 3 lifetime against Manaea, batting 1.000.

Turang played in 155 games last year, too. He had .564 OPS after the all star break in 2024, though.

Is there any chance they cancel? I think the parking lot is/was flooded and some roads are closed.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Flash flooding impacts southeast Wisconsin Saturday into Sunday.

4 hours ago — THE RAIN CAME DOWN SO HARD AND SO FAST HERE AT MILLER PARK WAY, JUST OUTSIDE OF AMERICAN FAMILY FIELD, THAT CARS WERE BURIED INSIDE THE WATER.

We're heading to the game today, and I've been worried about this.  Especially with more rain on its way for mid-afternoon...

I haven't seen anything via the media yet.  Anyone else hear something?

TMJ4 said they emailed the Brewers media and they replied to say "fans should monitor the news for updates".

If game gets cancelled that wouldn’t be too bad.   I’m assuming you only make it up if the game actually means something?

we could use another day of rest

They've announced they're playing the game as scheduled, so no day off.

Game on. Come at your own risk, I guess.

Yes, Game on WISN just said but ... 1/2 the parking lots are underwater with more rain on the way starting at about 11am. Bring you boots.
