The Low-A Mudcats have a 0.5 game second half division lead over Fredericksburg, so need to keep winning. LHP Wande Torres (5.28 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 73.1 IP) starts and RF Tyler Rodriguez returns (first game in 6 days - .655 OPS), targeting a 2-1 series lead at Salem.

Hmmm…no Freddy Zamora in the lineup. BF dot com really should have a Nashville Airport Correspondent by now.

Good to see Nashville is on Fanduel tonight.

I thought that ball Quero hit was gone off the bat but it ended up just shy of the warning track.

I guess it is just Nashville and Wisconsin tonight.

Nice outing by Gillis, but the T-Rat bats been mostly silent (only 4 hits through almost 8 innings)

Tyler Black with a multi-hit game in Nashville.

Blayberg Diaz with a double - this team an away team OF misplays it (yes I'm comparing the Mudcats game to this high A game). Two runs score, and it's 3-2 lead for TRats.  Nicasia back up to bat.

If he can get on base then Fischer-Made-Adamczewski. If he can't then that's the three who will be up in the 9th.

And I noticed that while the bats were mostly quiet (until the key double this inning), the T-Rats drew 6 walks.

New pitcher in the bottom 8 with Anthony Flores who hits the first batter Yikes. And ouch, right in the right butt cheek.

Just got a lead, don't want to put the first runner on right away, oh well.

That's some Houdini right there. Walks the bases loaded. Then gets a huge strike out looking - fastball right down the middle.

Next batter - grounder right to Fischer, to SS Made to first and its an inning ending double play. Just a routine 5-6-3 DP right?  Huge for T-Rats and frustrating for the sky carp. On to the 9th.

Fischer drills it 93 EV to left center, but just under it enough, and it's a routine fly out. Sounded  and looked better off the bat, but as the announcers said it just died on it's way out.

Made up.

Impressive hit by Made. Great pitch down in the zone and tailing away from him but gets enough bat on it and enough strength to poke it  up the middle for a single. After fouling a few pitches off.

Up to Josh Adamczewski to try to extend the lead if they can.

A few borderline pitches called ball and Dinges walks, after Adamczewski who was very selective and patiently drew a walk as well.

Bases loaded, but it's Guilarte up, so that's a bummer.

Alright Guilarte puts it in play and bounce eats up the 2B and it's a 2-run single to right. Wow, 5-2 T-Rats now. Woo hoo, and another base hit by Alastre. It is 6-2. And MiLB TV just froze for me. 😩

What a play! Sharp grounder off  the mound that Made fields excellently on the SECOND BASE side of the bag and throws to Hall who makes a nice scoop
