Can guys on the IL be stalled on there if the team is in a roster crunch?

Like, did Bauers just get “healthy” enough to play 2 days ago which coincidentally happened to be when Ortiz went on IL, or is it roster games and he’d still be on IL if Ortiz didn’t get hurt?

Peralta gets through five. It wasn't pretty, but the Giants are sporting a bagel on the scoreboard, so I'll take it. I just wish he could go deeper with our pen really needing some time off.
